“Aside from being your adviser, I will also serve as your English teacher. I hope to make good memories with all of you as we go through this school year. Classes are shortened from the usual one hour per subject since today’s just the first day and all of you will attend the students’ conference, headed by the student council. Please proceed to the gymnasium again at three o’clock sharp okay?”
“Yes, Mrs. Darson,” the class chorused.
“Well then, I will see you later. Thank you and goodbye, class.”
“Thank you and goodbye, Mrs. Darson.”
When the teacher left, the conversations here and there started. But before they could fully engage in their stuff, the next teacher arrived.

*Hilzen’s bell tone*
“Yes! My second-fave subject is next!”
“Lyn, lunch is not considered as a subject.”
“Oh shut it, Sab. It’s in our class schedule, therefore it’s a subject.”
“Okay, okay, whatever you say and believe in…”
“And so dismissal time is your all-time favorite subject eh, Lyn?”
“Right you are, Mei!”
“Come on guys. Let’s go to the cafeteria before we ran out of seats.”
“Sab, there’s always the garden,” Mei commented. “Plus, I have my own lunch anyway.”
“You’re so lucky to have a grandma that cooks so well Mei,” Lyn proclaimed.
“She’s the reason behind my dreaded engagement so I’m not sure about the lucky part,” Mei replied.
Sab gave a sad smile. “You really are lucky, Mei. At least you have a grandma that cooks for you. Not everyone has a family member to do it.”
The atmosphere became tense for a while, but Lyn quickly broke it.
“At least you became a very independent person, Sab! Your cooking is awesome!”
“I agree with Lyn, Sab! You’re a great chef! You should open a restaurant.”
“Now, the two of you are just flattering me. That won’t give you any incentives guys,” Sab replied with a laugh.
“Um… I… I’m sorry about what I said earlier, Sab. I should be more careful next time,” Mei apologised with a bow.
