Finally, I made a cover for the story. Check it out, it's pretty cool!
BTW, that's me in the picture. Like it?

Finally, they arrived at the United States border, around noon. As soon as they stopped, in the huge line of cars, Joey bolted upright. “I’m gonna grab something out of my suitcase, okay?”
Vicky absently answered affirmatively, rummaging in the glovebox for the car registration.
Joey unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car. After a minute, he reappeared in the car and asked if he could go to the washroom.
“Sure, just make sure you don’t lose us,” Matt answered, gesturing to the huge cluster of cars.
Scarlett leaned her head against the window, toying with the idea of getting out and grabbing her bag so that she could write in her journal. The receipt with Logan’s phone number on it was burning a hole in her pocket, and she really wanted to get her feelings out. Just as she decided to get up, she spotted Joey weaving his way back through the cars. Opening the door, because the window was broken, she called out, “Hey, Joey!” He jumped visibly, and Scarlett laughed. “Can you grab my bag please?”
Joey gave her a typical little glare, but surprisingly, he opened the trunk without argument.
“Thanks, Joey!” Joey grumbled about having to do work, and went back to his side.
Flipping over the flap, Scarlett pushed a few pairs of pants out of the way and pulled out her journal. Noticing that the red book was still beside it, Scarlett pulled it out too. She opened her journal and the red book at the same time, and barely held in a gasp when she realized that there was more writing in the mysterious book. Taking a deep breath, she eagerly scanned the page.
Hey, Scarlett! How’s the trip going?
So, I noticed you got your first phone number! Congrats! Now, all you need is a cell phone so that you can text him.
Also, you should shower. I’m pretty sure your brother doesn’t appreciate you going without it, for 4 days.
That’s all for now! Oh wait, I wanted to tell you not to worry about me. I don’t want to scare you, I’m just trying to give you some advice.
Scarlett stared at the page. This was getting creepy. How did they know about the phone number? She hadn’t told anyone! Also, you should shower. Scarlett blushed red. That’s so embarrassing!
Scarlett re-read the last two sentences. Strangely, she didn’t feel scared at all. Pulling the pen from the coil spine of her journal, she started to write.

I have a lot to say! I would have written earlier, but my journal was in the trunk with my bag. First off, my parents’ fight. I don’t know what happened, but I think I can guess. I woke up in the car yesterday and my parents were fighting. My mom accused my dad of “staying in the whore house” when he suggested a B&B near the US border, and then my dad freaked out and randomly said that Rebecca isn’t a whore. The next morning, at the B&B that my dad apparently stayed at, something happened. The owner’s daughter came to visit, and it was the Rebecca they were talking about! Then Rebecca realized that Dad was married, and she got really mad. I think my dad cheated on Mom with this Rebecca person!
Next topic: this red book that I found in the school library on my last day! I don’t know how, but it ended up in my school bag. I didn’t steal it, I swear! But it had a message to me, written in it. It knew all about that I was moving and that I was getting bullied and everything! And just now, I found another message! I know I should be scared and tell an adult, but I’m really not. It’s kind of weird, but when the person said to trust them, I did!
One more thing. In my opinion, it’s the most important thing! I, Scarlett Eve, was given a cell phone number from a guy! And he was actually really cute! His name is Logan Chase. But the only problem is, I don’t have a cell phone. So I can’t text him. And get this – he called me hot!
Anyways, we are at the US border now. There is a TON of cars, so I bet it’s gonna take a long time. The brochure says that it can take up to 3 hours!
Scarlett
Scarlett snapped the journal closed, and then decided to tape the gas station receipt into it as soon as she got some tape.

Authors' Note:
I just got back from a horse show, so no internet. It was a 3 day show, and on the second day, my horse went lame! For those of you that don't know, that means they hurt themselves, and can't be ridden. I don't know what happened, but it was so bad that I had to scratch from 3 of my 4 classes that day!
Luckily (strangely) she was absolutely fine after my classes were over. So I was able to ride the next day. Which was a gymkhana (basically, my favorite classes of the show because you get to run fast) so I was pretty happy.
So there is my anecdote!
Vomment!
