"I want Chinese!" I yelled from the couch that I was sprawled on.

"Nobody cares, Luxe," Landon said with a lopsided grin.

"I care, because I agree with her." said Layla coming into the room. She sits down on the edge of the couch and twirls her newly cut hair. She cut it short, way shorter than mine. So now people could tell us apart easier. Me and Layla were practically identical in looks. In personality, well that was a little different. Landon, being a guy, resembles us, but isn't identical. Which I suppose is a good thing. What guy would want to be identical to his triplet sisters?

"Chinese it is, ladies." Mason agreed, going over to the small screen in the kitchen so that he could order the food. Everyone was feeling too lazy to actually walk down to the cafeteria.

We never got to eat our Chinese food because the emergency alarm went off.

"Get suited up, and move. You have seven minutes to get on the road." Zari, the head of quarters said into our communication unit that is embedded into each of our ears.

Immediately, as we were so perfectly trained, we move into action. We strip our clothes for new ones. Clothes that give us more protection and are bulletproof. We assemble weapons and hide them in places on our bodies.

I grab my bobby pins that are actually sedative needles and put them into my hair as I braided it.

"Two minutes before we have to leave the room!" Jaze calls out, warning us of the time limit. Soon all sixteen of us were assembled in front of the doorway.

"Let's go." Landon said, naturally falling into the leader position. We all leave, with me as the last person. Except for Mason who will stay back in our rooms to guide us from the screen of a computer.

"Be safe." Mason said, nodding to me. I give him a small smile and hurry out the door.

I see Zac waiting ahead for me to catch up.

"Stay with me." he said and clutched my hand protectively. It was quieter in the hallways as we made it to our cars. I notice that we are not the only section going out tonight. Our sister section will be with us as well.

"Section 13A" Zari said addressing my section, "and section 13B, there will be a group of terrorists trying to kidnap people in charge of the Wilkes Corporation. The address is in your cars. Disperse yourselves, find the terrorists, capture them, do not kill, and don't let any civilians get hurt." I take in all of the information and start to plan in my head. Then Zari adds something.

"Do not fail." she said coldly, and then signed off with a ping.

Then people started conversing on what the plan is. Around thirty people trying to talk at once is crazy. Yet, somehow, as we drive along the dark roads, we make a plan to capture the terrorists. We each go to different locations where the corporation people are. Some go to lookout positions. Some trail the actual terrorists.

Zac and I are to be following a young woman. We discreetly follow the car that she is in.

"Her name is Elisa." I told Zac as I read over the woman's file on my iPad.

"Children?"

I scan the screen, "Two girls, one is fifteen and the other ten."

"Wonderful." Zac commented. Why is it wonderful? Well, if we ever need to catch her we could always hold her children captive, which means she'd be likely to come for them. Then we could capture her and put her where she belongs. In a jail cell, or dead.

"Which direction are we headed in?" I asked.

"North."

I narrow my eyes, one step ahead of Zac I say: "She's a diversion."

Zac understands me instantly, "All of the corporation people live south. Everywhere those people are supposed to be are south." Zac and I can share a look across a room and understand each other perfectly. We know so much about each other we just fit into each other's lives. That's what I love about me and him.

"Exactly." I watch the black car ahead turn right. "Get closer."

The black car turns into a park. So do we. The park is abandoned, which is good, since it is about ten o'clock. No children should be playing this late, if they were, I would be worried.

"Let's go," I said and was about to get out when Zac grabs my arm.

"I love you, Luxe." he said passionately, making me lose my breath at the sight of him.

"I love you, too." I smiled, "Now, let's put this woman in her place." We get out and face this Elisa girl that has gotten out of her car.

"Are you trying to die?" Elisa asks. "I could surely do the honors." She grins arrogantly and pulls out a pistol.

"Oh, Elisa." I pause, "That is your name, correct?" I smile mischievously. Elisa stays put with the gun pointed at us.I go on, "Two children, girls to be exact. Lilianna fifteen, and Jillianna, ten. Lillianna attends Jackson Prepatory school and miss Jillianna attends The Margaret elementary school. Both located in Wilmington." Elisa tries to hide the look of surprise on her face but I can see it in her eyes. I can see her starting to be afraid of us, she should be.

"My friends are out looking for your friends. Although, we don't need your help, it would be nice of you to tell us the plans of your people." Zac said as he whipped out a knife from his jacket. He plays with it, taunting Elisa as he talks.

"Then again, we could just torture it out of you."

That's when Elisa made her mistake; she dropped the gun and ran the opposite direction. It didn't take us long to catch up with her. Easily, we caught her.

I pinned her down, my knees digging into her back, pressing her into the ground.

"Now, are we going to have to do this the hard way or the easy way?" I asked her.

Elisa spits out, "I'll never give up their secrets."

Zac leaned down so that he was inches from her face. "Looks like it'll be the hard way." He then cuts a small gash into her cheek, Elisa cries out in pain. We continue to torture her until she gives us the information.

We never thought twice about the harsh things that we did to her.

We never thought enough is enough. We just kept going. It's the way we were raised. We were raised to follow Zari's orders. So later, after we got out of her all that we could, we were ordered to kill her.

So we did.

It wasn't pretty.
