The morning events makes me anxious and on alert. I feel so bad for Jaze, she doesn't deserve to go through this. But then again, none of us do. We weren't given a choice in our lives. Our parents were just like us and we followed the family business. No one asked us if this is what we wanted to do with out lives.

The band, Max, and Alex all questioned me about my phone call this morning. I told them it was nothing and to let me be. Most of them did that but I could see Max continually staring at me and Jamie sending worried glances my way. I ignored it all, hoping to just get on with our day.

We are in Texas, the accents are so prominent here. We all probably sound weird to them too.

The set crew set up the stage, the band eventually gets to rehearse a little. They have meet and greets before the show and also the show as well. I listen to Alex to go wherever he tells me to all day. Soon enough were back on the bus and heading to Dallas, Texas. It's only a few hours drive and once we get there we check into a hotel. I stay in a room with the band and Max and Jared are in the next room over. I claim the couch and make myself comfortable, ready to catch some sleep after a long day.

I no sooner start falling asleep and I'm awoken.

"Luxe." I open my eyes and it's Max. He's looking at me with concern. Oh great, not this again.

"Are you really okay? I know you said you were earlier. But clearly your friend wasn't doing okay..." He stops talking, unsure of what to say. Clearly afraid of saying the wrong thing to me.

"Max, I'm fine, really." I sit up, hoping that this conversation won't take too long. I really am tired.

"Well, what happened to your friend?"

"She had a miscarriage."

He looks shocked, but I don't know what he was expecting me to say.

"Why?"

I sigh, "It probably was for the best. Miscarriages usually happen when there is something wrong with the fetus and her body rejected it. So if it would have lived then there would probably have been a lot of complications..." I trail off. "And when things like that happen, well, let's just say that Jaze wouldn't have been able to keep it anyway." Not that it would have been up to her, sadly.

"I'm sorry to hear that. How do you know so much about babies?" Max asks curiously. He' sits in front of the couch and turns to face me.

"That was common knowledge, but I studied babies, genetics, and births, as one of my specializations."

"So... You can deliver a baby?"

"Of course," why does he want to know so much?

"What about you? What else do you do other than body guard famous people?" I ask switching the conversation around to Max.

He grins at me, his brown eyes lighting up, "Nothing as exciting as being able to deliver babies."

"It's not really that exciting, it can be a dangerous things. Besides there must be something!" He shakes his head.

"Nah."

We sit there in silence and I rest my head on the couch.
