"Will you tell me what's going on, if I ask you?" I asked Taehyung."No" he smiled.
"Taehyung" I called his name sternly, "I want you to give me an answer."
He kept his smile and moved his hand to my hair to ruffle it, "I'll tell you when you are recovered."
I crossed my arms and looked at him blankly, "I hate you."
"I know you don't" he said, chuckling.
My expression softened as I unfolded my arms.
"Stand up" Taehyung ordered me as he stood up and held his hand in front of me.
"I don't want to go to bed yet."
"You won't."
I took his hand and stood up.
"Oh wait!" I let go of Taehyung's hand.
I pulled my sleeve up and freed myself from the needle of the I.V bag.
"Now we can go" I smiled and took his hand again as we started walking.
"I didn't know you're a bad girl" Taehyung said, smiling.
"And I didn't know how beautiful a person's smile can be." I mentally slapped myself as I realized what I said. I had to stop myself from speaking my thoughts.
"Uhm, do- don't misunderstand. I- I meant the guy at the back" I stuttered.
Taehyung turned his head to the back, "Weird. I don't see any guy there."
"Re- Really? I guess he must be gone. He- he was reaaaaally handsome. I- I mean, he looked like a mixture of Kim Woo Bin and Ji Chang Wook."
Taehyung sighed, "You're bad at lying, so stop talking and walk."
I did as he said without even knowing where we were going.
We used an elevator and climbed some stairs up to the highest level of the building.
I felt a light breeze when we arrived on the roof.
"What are we doing here?" I asked curiously.
"The weather is nice. Let's just talk here for a bit."
He let go of my hand and walked over to the bench in the centre of the rooftop. I followed him and seated myself next to him.
I looked up to the night sky which was filled with stars.
"Mirae" Taehyung called me.
"Yeah?" I responded while admiring the night sky.
"You like me, don't you?"
I directed my gaze to Taehyung, who was already glaring at me.
"Why all of a sudden?" I asked him calmly.
"Just give me an answer" he instructed me.
A smirk made its way on my face, "It's funny. I have to give you answers when you don't give me any."
"Don't change the topic."
"Fine. I like you." I said, looking in his eyes, "We're friends after all."
"Just friends?" he raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know" I sighed, "Are we just friends?"
"Joowon and I are friends as well" Taehyung said out of nowhere.
Suddenly he pulled me into his arms, pressing my head against his chest, "But my heart doesn't race like that when I see Joowon."
I felt like the butterflies in my stomach were trying to kill me when I heard his heart skipping beats.
"Joowon and I are friends as well" I said, looking up to him.
Afterwards I freed myself from his embrace and took his hand. I led his hand to the centre of my chest, "But my heart doesn't race like that when I see Joowon."
Suddenly he gave me a peck on my cheek.
He took my hands into his, "Mirae, listen carefully."
He sighed, "In the upcoming weeks we may face some difficulties- no, we will face difficulties. But I want you to trust me entirely. Can you do that? Can you trust me?"
I answered without hesitating , "I know that you have secrets," I sighed "But I'm sure that you have your reasons. And I sincerely hope that someday you trust me enough to tell me those secrets."
"It's not about trust, but courage. I'll tell you when I have the courage to. Are you okay with that?"
I nodded understandingly as he took me back into his arms.
"Taehyung."
"Hm?" he responded.
"Take off your jacket" I ordered him.
"Why?"
"The hospital clothing isn't really keeping warm."
He took off his jacket immediately and pulled it over my shoulders. I tightened the hug and shared his jacket with him.
After a while Taehyung fell asleep. Just then he got a message on his phone.
I slipped my hand into his pocket and took out his cell phone.
It was a message from Kangjun, 'I shouldn't trust the rumours, right?'
