It's hard to be a hero (BTS Taehyung)

Chapter 21

-One month later-

"Are you sleeping?" I whispered to Taehyung, who was lying on my lap.

No response.

"Dream about me" I said as I leaned my back against the big tree, which shadowed Taehyung and me.

It was a peaceful Sunday afternoon in the park. Taehyung started jobbing in the supermarket again and so did I in the café. Like that, the time we spent together became even more precious.

"No need to tell me. You're always on my mind."

I looked down to see a bright smiling Taehyung on my lap.

"You're making me cringe" I said jokingly.

"I know, deep inside you really like my cheesy jokes."

"Keep on dreaming."

"Okay" he simply replied and closed his eyes again.

I decided to rest my eyes for a bit and closed them as well.

A short while later I was woken by a familiar voice. I slowly opened my eyes as I felt someone caressing my hand. I realized that I was leaning on Taehyung's shoulder.

"I'll tell you soon. I promise."

"I'll wait" I said in a sleepy tone as I slowly raised my head.

"You woke up?" Taehyung asked me surprised.

"No, I'm talking to you in my sleep" I said sarcastically.

He threw his arm around my shoulder and embraced me, "You should sleep a little more."

"No, it's okay" I said as I hugged him back.

"Good. You snored while sleeping" Taeyhung chuckled.

"Liar."

"Look, I even have evidence" he took out his cellphone and showed me a video. And he was right. I was snoring like a wild hog.

"Babe" I smiled at him while reaching out for his cellphone.

He pulled the phone away, "Yeah, 'Babe'?".

"Nothing, you just look really cute today" I complimented him as I pinched his cheek.

"Thanks, 'Babe'."He emphasized the word every time he mentioned it.

"Kim Taehyung! Delete this video immediately!" I yelled as I freed myself from his embrace and grasped at his cellphone.

He hid his hand behind his back, "No" he smiled brightly.

The day went by as the both of us continued fooling around.

Monday came- once again.

The bell rang and signalized the beginning of recess. Taehyung was already waiting for me as I packed my stuff into my backpack.

"Let's go" he said as he took my hand and led me to the canteen.

Kangjun, Jongsuk, Joowon and Minki were already waiting at our usual place.

"Mr. and Mrs. Kim have arrived, guys" Jongsuk announced as soon as we sat down.

"Shut up."

"Okay, today's Mirae's turn, right?" Kangjun asked.

"Yaaaas" I said as I took out six sandwiches from my backpack.

I handed each of the boys a sandwich, "Bon appétit!"
