The date
"Are we there yet?" I asked tiredly.
"Almost."
"My feet hurt, Taehyung" I complained.
"Do you want me to carry you?"
"Yes!" I exclaimed, widening my eyes.
"You wish" Taehyung laughed.
"Where did just all the gentlemen go to?" I sighed.
"Probably to the same place all the ladies went to. I told you to wear something comfortable, but I can't believe you're actually wearing a pair of jeans and a sweater. I thought you would put on something more special for your boyfriend."
"Can't you see it? I applied a little more makeup than usual" I said, pointing at my face, "And let's not forget what you said. 'Don't expect too much'." I imitated Taehyung, speaking in a deep tone.
"Yah, stop. I was joking. You look beautiful" he winked.
"Urgh, whatever" I sighed, chafing my hands.
"Are you cold?"
"Yes. If I knew we would walk this much, I'd have worn warmer clothes."
"Sorry. I asked my uncle to drive us, but he has to work" Taehyung took my hand and put it together with his in his pocket.
I smiled unknowingly, "It's okay. This way we can spend more time together."
A few minutes later we arrived in front of a forest.
"It's already dark, Taehyung. I'm a little scared to be honest" I confessed.
"Yah, I'm here. No need to be scared" he said as he let go of my hand. He took off his toque, put it on my head and pulled it down until my eyes were covered, "Can you see anything?"
"Nope."
"Good." Taehyung took my hand again and started leading me into the woods.
We walked for a few minutes until Taehyung finally stopped and let go of my hand.
"Open your eyes."
I removed his toque from my head and slowly opened my eyes. They instantly widened.
We were standing in front of a playground, in the middle of the forest. Well, it wasn't exactly a playground. There was only one swing. A few meters in front of that swing was a picnic blanket with a few flowers and a basket. The whole place was decorated with white lanterns, which were our only light source beside the bright shining moon in the night sky.
Briefly worded; it was beautiful.
"Welcome to my- no, our secret hideout."
Taehyung threw an arm around my shoulder, "Do you like it?"
"No" I looked up to him, "I love it."
"I used to come here with my father a lot."
"Your father?" Taehyung never talked about his parents before.
"Yes" he sighed, "When he was alive."
"O-oh. I didn't know" I didn't know what to say.
"How would you?" he slightly smiled, "I never told you."
"May I ask what happened?"
"Let's sit down first."
He took my hand and led me to the picnic blanket. After sitting down, he took out another blanket from the basket and placed it on my lap.
