Michael
"This is fucking crazy."
Michael looked down at Harley and laughed, patting her shoulder.
"It's just a roller coaster, Har," he replied, grabbing her hand and pulling her to the line.
"You are officially the master of worst first dates," Harley declared, pulling away from him. "I can't do this, you know how I feel about roller coasters."
"Which is the perfect reason why we should go on," he said. "It'll be a date to remember," he tried to convince her and reached for her hand once again but she pulled away from him. "Come on, Harley, don't be like that."
Harley pouted and crossed her arms as the line moved forward.
"I'm just very scared, Mike," she explained. "I've always had a terrible fear of falling."
"Why's that?"
She sighed,"That terrible feeling in your stomach, like there's thousands of butterflies in it. Not being able to breathe, never really knowing how long it will last."
He looked down at her as she bit her thumbnail, "Isn't that what makes it fun, though? That feeling of excitement and uneasiness and not knowing the outcome?"
"Maybe to some people, but I absolutely despise it."
He glanced down at her and mumbled, "I think that I can change your mind."
She looked up at him with a straight face before she got on her tippy toes and kissed his cheek.
He felt himself turn warm and smiled at the girl who was slowly stealing his heart.
"Next," the man operating the ride said.
Harley gasped and squeezed Michael's hand.
"Everything's gonna be alright, Har," he assured her and put an arm around her.
He felt her start to quiver as they took their seats.
She began to pant as the safety bar enclosed them into the seat and looked around frantically .
"Get me out," she said to Michael with wide eyes. "I need to get off now."
"Harley, you need to face your fears," he said softly and he put his hand toward her arm before she scooted away from him.
"I swear to God if you don't get me off of this fucking roller coaster, I will never talk to you again."
His eyes widened before he nodded.
"Sir, she's not feeling well, we need to get off before the ride starts."
"Sorry pal, you should've read the sign," the man said as he pointed to a worn out sign that was next to him;
Once you get on, there's no going back.
"Fuck," he said frantically and looked at Harley who was now trying to pull the safety bar off of herself. "We need to get off now!"
"Let me off!" Harley said to the man, her eyes blazing with anger.
The man smirked, "Learn to control your girl."
"You dick!" Michael yelled at the man who shrugged and waved at them as the ride began to start.
Michael carefully looked at Harley who was pulling at her hair and breathing heavily.
"Harley?"
She slowly turned to look at him, her eyes wide and full of fear.
He held his arms out and she quickly embraced him, her face on his chest. He wrapped his arms around her tightly and rested his chin on her head.
