Michael
He was on cloud nine.
They had been on two more dates and he couldn't deny that he was the happiest that he had ever been.
They were currently at Joe's, a small pizza shop on the corner of a street that they happened to be walking by,
He watched her with tired eyes as she tapped her thick fingers on the metal table and sighed.
"What's up?" Michael asked and she looked up at him and shrugged.
"Just hungry, that's all."
He smiled, "You're an impatient person, aren't you, Har?"
She tilted her head, "No I'm not!"
He nodded his head quickly and laughed a little, "Yes, you are. I see your body language when we wait in line or are waiting for our food."
She grinned and put her hands up in surrender, "Alright, you got me." She peered around the small restaurant before she spoke again, "Have you noticed that so far, we've only gone out to eat on our dates? Not on our horrible first date, of course. But the other ones. Second date; Italian food. Third date; crepes. Fourth date; frozen yogurt. Fifth date; burgers. Sixth date; subs. And now, seventh date; pizza. I feel like that's all we ever do; eat."
He raised his brows, "I find it quite flattering that you've remembered where all of our dates have taken place."
She sighed as she smiled a bit, "Seriously, Mike. We should do different things."
"Like what?"
They were interrupted by the girl at the counter who called their number, their slices of pizza waiting on the counter.
They waked over two the girl who slid the enormous slices over to them and smiled at Harley.
"Your highlight is amazing," the girl said as she examined Harley's face.
What the fuck is 'highlight'?
Michael watched as Harley beamed and spoke, "Thank you! I love your eyebrows."
The girl giggled and thanked Harley before she excused herself once another customer had walked in the store.
"Girls are cute," Michael said as they sat back down. "You guys are so nice to each other."
She shrugged, "We've gotta stick together."
"So, you wanna do something after this? Catch a movie?"
He watched as she took a bite of her pizza and smirked, "Why? So you can do that lame fake yawn move?"
"That might've been on the agenda."
...
"What do you wanna watch?"
He stuffed his hands in his pockets and peered down at his date.
She tilted her head, "Nothing seems very appealing."
"Just pick a movie. It's not like we'll really pay attention at all."
She smirked, "Why's that?"
He felt his face get a little warm, "You know, a dark room. You look particularly beautiful today."
Oh, yeah. Making out was their favorite thing to do together. It was hard for them to keep their hands off of each other.
She giggled and grabbed his hand, "Is that so?"
He hummed in response and pulled her to his side.
"So, whatever movie is playing?"
"Sure."
They each paid for their own ticket to The Age of Adeline and walked towards the theatre.
They saw that the theatre was almost empty, and headed to the way back.
They sat down as the lights started to dim and the previews started to play.
Michael looked at Harley as the screen illuminated her face and she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
He couldn't help but lean into her and put his mouth where her ear was, "You're fucking stunning, you know that?"
He watched as she bit her lip nervously and smiled, "Stop."
"You love it."
He knew that what he said was true. She always tried to hide the fact that she liked being complimented.
He pressed his lips on her temple and smiled to himself.
Is this real? Am I really with this beautiful girl, touching her?
He chuckled as she put her lips on his and kissed him slowly.
He grinned as she put her forehead on his, "This is bad."
"What?"
He closed his eyes and sighed before he kissed her lips once again,
"I think I'm falling in love with you."
