"Adeline, this is the craziest shit I'm hearing." Brandon exclaimed.
"Not as crazy as hearing you screwed three different girls in one night." Jessalyn rolled her eyes.
"You jealous you're not one of them?" He retorted which earned him a smack from Cathie.
"Focus on the issue, please." Cathie gave a pointed look. "Boys and their short attention span."
I waited as the banter die down and shifted awkwardly when three pairs of eyes focused on me simultaneously.

"Why so sudden?" Cathie asked. "School is ending soon, we'll having our senior prom and graduation. Why not wait for another month?"
"I told you, my parents..."
Brandon cut me off. "What she meant was, you're moving in one month. Why not just wait for another month?"
Jessalyn nodded solemnly. "You're not leaving because of him, right?"
