"If you walk away now, it'd be on you, not me."
The rain was pouring harshly, the pattering on the pavement analog to the stabbing pain on her heart. Her voice was hardly heard, as she strained her vocal cord.
The dark figure standing in front of her paused.
Her grip on her umbrella tightened.
Would he turn around?
Minutes passed by as he stood in the rain, his thick jacket soaked in rainwater. The droplets of water slicking down his midnight dark hair.
"Adeline, you should go."
Sometimes I truly am amazed by the fact that guy can fucking breaks a girl's heart just by being a cold-hearted jerk.
