Indy gulped and subtly, but swiftly, pulled out her phone to text Scott and/or Stiles.
"I've gotta go," Liam said, a mixture of rage and fear across his face. He picked up his bag and stormed out.
"Liam, wait" Indy yelled, as she chased after him. She was totally panicking, "Liam!" She yelled again. But he was gone. "Crap." She muttered.
She pulled her phone back out and called Stiles. Thankfully he picked up, "Hey"
"Hey, so Liam just found out you're playing Devonport tonight. You know, his old school and stuff and he's looking pretty angry right now, so yeah," The words tumbled out of her mouth."What! I didn't even know we were playing them."
"Yeah, well that's cause you don't listen."
"Valid. Anyway, Scott's in the locker rooms, waiting for him right now"
"But you thought our last plan was stu-"
"He's with Derek"
"So?" She smiled
"Indy, that dude is scary"
"You're such a sook"
"Am not. Anyway, we got this stuff handled, so yeah."
"Alright, well I'll see you later then. Bye"
"Bye." Stiles said before he hung up. Indy knew that shit was gonna go down if Derek was involved. She groaned before heading back to her locker.
^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
As she headed to her locked, she bumped into Liam, literally.
"Woah, sorry. Didn't see you coming" He said apologetically. He seemed so tired.
"It's alright. How you doing anyway?" She asked
He looked up to Indy and hiss face lightened "Ah, yeah. My head was kind of all over the place and it's not getting better..."
"Since you found out you're playing Devenford?" she said softly
"Yeah, I know I can do it, but..." he sighed, "You promise that if I tell you something, you won't tell anyone, including Scott," he said pleadingly
"I guess,"
"Promise," she nodded, "Well, after I left Devonford, I got sent to a psychologist and umm, I was kinda diagnosed with something they call Intermittent Explosive Disorder,"
"What's that?"
"Well, basically it's when someone get really, angry really suddenly and does crazy stuff. Like when I scratched up my teacher's car,"
"Wow, okay" Indy's eye widened
"Yeah, but it isn't a big deal, I just find it difficult to keep under control, especially in lacrosse games," he looked ashamed. He got up and the pair started walking down the hall, "I know I told you before, but please don't tell Scott. I need to play tonight,"
"Okay, but seriously, you have to be careful,"
"Yeah I will," he paused for a moment and turned to Indy, "Hey, why don't you come to the game tonight? You make me feel better." he said sheepishly,
"Really? Well it doesn't seem that way sometimes," she replied, a little bit of edge in her tone,
"What's that supposed to mean? I was just being honest" he replied, his voice slightly amplifying
"What do you reckon? You're always so hot and cold with me. I mean, I don't know what to think of you. One day you're really nice and giving me all these compliments and another you completely ignore me. I just don't get it," She sighed
"Well I'm sorry if you felt that way, I wasn't meaning to ignore you, I just have heaps of shit going on. Seriously, I'm a frickin werewolf. You have no ide-"
"No. No way. Sometimes I can't breathe properly and I've been having crazy nightmares and not so pleasant daydreams and I have no idea why!" Indy raised her voice.
"I didn't know. But why haven't you told Lydia or Scott or Stiles?" Liam asked, as felt an unexpected pain in her back and her necklace started to heat up. She grimaced and bent over, as a small growl escaped.
"Indy!" Liam came over and touched her. She gasped and jumped away from him.
She saw a well. She wasn't sure where but it was dark. She saw herself and Liam there and she felt the panicked and then it vanished.
Liam crouched to see if she was alright "Woah, Indy"
"What?" she wheezed
"Your eyes. They... they're glowing. Green"
She whipped out her phone to look at her reflection. Liam was right. Looking back was a pair of glowing green eyes. "What the hell?" she said, touching her cheek bone. She looked up at Liam, who was looking at her in awe, "I-I've gotta go." She ran to the bathroom. Not looking back.
^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
She stretched her eyelids with her fingers, "What the hell is this!" she almost screamed and slammed her hands on the sink, 'Ow, shit". She had spoken to Liam over 20 minutes ago and it still wasn't going away, "What the hell!"
She sighed. If she didn't go back to class, or even to the sick room, people would suspect something was wrong. Her heartbeat slowed and her eye colour went back to normal, "Thank God"
The bathroom door opened and evil-ish girl walked in. She smirked at Indy
"Can't believe you're not on the list yet." She chuckled.
Indy bowed her head quickly, trying not to make eye contact and walked out the bathroom. What was that meant to mean?
