Thank god Starbucks isn't far from the stadium. It's getting awkward sitting in between the two guys in the car.
"And.. we're here!" Taylor announced once the car was parked.
With that, everyone, opened the doors and got out of the car.
"Come on guys, hurry up!" I exclaimed as I was the first to reach the door.
"Chill Talia, Starbucks isn't going anywhere," Olivia laughed, following me inside.
Ah, I love Starbucks. It's always so warm in here, and the smell of coffee is nice.
"Are we going to wait for Sierra and Preston? Or are we gonna start ordering?" Trevor asked with a shrug.
"Umm, I don't think they'll be here for a while so I guess we can order right now," I suggested, walking up to the cashier.
Honestly, I just want my coffee.. I know, I know.. I sound selfish right now.
"I'll pay for everyone's," Taylor offered, standing behind all four of us.
"Really? Are you sure?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.
Taylor nodded her head, "Yeah.. but I was going to pay for it anyways, wasn't I?"
That's when she gave me a look.
I smiled at her and didn't answer her. Instead, I just turned back around and gave my order to the barista.
"Peppermint mocha again?" Olivia jokingly asked before giving her order.
"Yup," I replied as I went over to an empty table and sat there.
I looked over and waited for Olivia to finish ordering so she can come and sit with me.
But just when I thought she was coming over, she stayed with Andrew, Trevor, and Taylor over by the register.
That's when she began to whisper something to them.
It must've been something about me cause they all looked over before continuing to whisper.
What are they talking about??
I wanted to continue looking to figure it out, but I knew that I wouldn't be able to. So, I took out my phone and texted Sierra, just so I have something to do.
Talia: hey, are you and preston on your way?
It didn't take her a while to reply back, which isn't surprising.
Sierra: yeah, we just left school
Talia: okay, bc im alone since everyone's talking about something without me..
After I sent that message, Sierra never replied back.
Aw don't tell me she's a part of whatever they're talking about..
I glimpsed at them and saw Andrew nod, causing them to end their chat, which was when Olivia joined me at the table.
I was about to ask her about the little conversation she had with everyone else, but I decided to just leave it alone and see how this goes.
"Oh, I texted Sierra and she said that they were on their way," I informed, starting up a conversation.
Olivia nodded her head and replied with, "Oh okay," before taking out her phone as well.
Well, so much for starting a conversation..
Surprisingly, three of our orders were already finished, so only Andrew and I didn't have ours yet.
"Trevor needs to go home now, so I'm going to drop him off," Taylor notified as soon the three of them reached the table.
"Aww ma—"
"Really? Can you drop me off too because my dad's texting me to come home," Olivia asked, cutting me off.
"Yeah sure. I did give you guys a ride here after all," Taylor nodded.
With that, Olivia thanked her and the three of them began to walk towards the doors.
"See ya, Andrew! You too Talia!" Trevor and Olivia waved as they followed Taylor outside.
"Bye!" We both replied in unison.
So, it's just me and Andrew here..? Okay then.
When Andrew decided to take the seat across from me, I went on my phone and tried to make things less awkward by not making eye contact.
Where's Sierra and Preston?? I need them to break the awkwardness.
When I looked up from my phone, I spotted Andrew on his phone too, texting someone.
Wow okay then..
"Uh, I'm going to go outside and wait for Sierra and Preston," I stated as I stood up.
Andrew looked up from his phone and set it on the table. "Oh, do you want me to go with you?"
I slightly waved my hand, "No it's okay, I'm fine."
I'm trying to avoid the awkwardness, so if you come, it'll still be awkward.
Once Andrew gave the okay, I flew out the door. Not literally, but you know what I mean.
As soon as I stepped outside, the cold air greeted me with a couple chills.
"Well, hopefully they won't take that long," I quietly said to myself.
~
After a few minutes of standing out in the freezing weather, constantly checking my phone, I heard the door open behind me.
"Talia," Andrew called as he walked up by my side. "I need to tell you something."
"Yeah, Andrew?"
I turned my head to look at him, and noticed that he was leaning in towards me.
Wait—
As soon as I realized what he was doing, it was already too late to step back.
