Chapter 7

Isaac's P.O.V

"What is going on?"

Xander and i looked towards the direction of the voice. Oh no, its Lena. I am in deep trouble. We are. We stopped and she dragged us to an empty class.

"So, who wants to go first?"

I should go. Looking at how ashamed Xander was, i'll talk. Besides, im quite sure that she would believe me over him.

"I'll go first. But this is my version."

She nodded her head, indicating for me to continue.

"Okay, long story short...he came up to me and askes me to not play with your feelings and just focus on Sasha. Then, i got angry and you came, hearing what i asked him."

"Why did you get angry over such a small matter?"

To be honest, i dont know. Do i really like her? I feel more strongly about Sasha though....im confused.

"Um......well, i guess im confused with my feelings."

Xander stood up, "Well, you cant always play around with two girls. You have to stop confusing yourself and coose one. Well? Lena or Sasha?"

Punk. What are you trying to prove? Lena will always side me anyways. I am positive that she kind of likes me. I have the confidence to say that.

I looked at her. She went to Xander and interwined her hand with his. He looked shocked. So was i.

"Isaac, you dont need to choose. Go on with Sasha. I choose to be with Xander. Lets meet less from now on."

My heart was squeezed. She doesnt like me? What are you doing? My confidence dropped. I still want to meet you. But...i respect your decision.

"B-but..."

"Im sorry for making you confused of your feelings. I'll just get out of your life, which will make it clear to you who to go with."

No. But i agree that this makes me clearer of my feelings. Though it doesnt feel right. I realise now. You, Lena, is the one i like.

"Isaac, good luck. On courting her and your life."

"It was you."

My voice barely even audible for anyone to hear.

What just happened, i need to slowly absorb. A good 10 minutes later, i heard soft foot steps coming near me.

"Isaac? Lena told me that you would be here. Do you want to talk? Do you need anything?"

"No! Just...leave me alone. Just once."

Im sorry Sasha but i don't know if i even like you anymore...but maybe, you'll be my distraction. I looked up and she was gone. Thank goodness.

Lena's P.O.V

After school, Jeena said that she wants to stay in the library to chill, more like take in what happened to her. So, that leaves me and Xander. We held hands, i mean, we already did a long time ago. So its not that awkward.

Xander stopped walking midway going to my house. He turned towards me and looked me in the eye, very sincerely.

"Lena. i h-have something i want to ask you. Can we go out tonight?"

I nodded, "ok"

We walked to my house. Then he stopped and turned to me. "Meet you at 7," he said. Xander immediately ran away after that.

I just chuckled to myself and went in the house. There was apparently no one in. I went over to the kitchen table and saw a cute postnote.

Lena, your daddy and i will come back late. Do not go out. Your friends can come to watch movies with you...but dont get out of the house. Bye.

What?! What am i going to tell Ian then? Without hesitation, i immediately phoned him.

"Hi Lena. What's up? You miss me already?"

"Haha. My parents say that i can't go out tonight...you wanna come instead?"

"Um...sure. See you later."

Thank god he hung up. When he said that, i was blushing like crazy...maybe he has gotten the self-confidence he needed. Oh well.

Later at 7, the doorbell rang. I went to open the door and all i saw was this giant bouquet of roses. giggled, " Thanks. I never knew you were the romantic type."

"Im not. But maybe just today." He handed me the flowers. We walked to the living room and i went to play a movie. It was our favourite movie, "The Mortal instrument: City Of Bones." I just can't stop taking about Jace. He's awesome.

We ate popcorn while watching possibly the best movie ever. Now, it was playing the part where Jace and Clary are at the garden. Then, they almost kiss.

I could feel Xander looking at me. I turned to face him, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Lena, will you officially be my girlfriend?"

My heart was pumping like it had never been. Blood rushed through my veins. Finally, he asked me the question. I wasn't able to say anything, so i just nodded. He opened his arms and we shred probably the warmest hug ever.

"So...you're my girlfriend?"

"You're my boyfriend?"

We laughed. We continued to watch the movie. That night, i learned a lot about Xander. He went home and i went to bed, excited of what would happen tomorrow  in school.
