The six of them plummeted to the floor as they gasped for breath.

"Why must we run so far?" Questioned Ryker.

"We don't want Mrs. Belongialy to catch us! She will catch us if we don't keep going. I can't stay here! She will find us. RUN!" Melina explained panicking.  She speed up her words and started gasping for breath.

"NO! No more running. Calm down. We will stay here then keep traveling tomorrow." Quentin explained. "Sophia and Chloe get some wood. Ryker and William find a stream or a water source. Don't wander too far away from this spot.  I will find a way to sleep tonight and Melina you rest."

"That's not fair! Why doesn't Melina have to work?" Blurted out William.

"She was just kept in a basement for so many years working as a slave. We helped her escape so she didn't need to be a slave anymore. Why would we make her work?" Quentin explained.

"Fine! Can Mrs. Belongalong take me then for so many years. Maybe I can get out of doing my chores." William complained sarcastically, "I want her phone number. I will be her slave. I hate doing dishes. It is so gross!"

"First off her name is not Mrs. Belongalong it is Mrs. Belongialy... DUH. And second, you do not want to go through what I did. She gave me bread for dinner and breakfast and lunch. And plus, she makes you do every dirty and clean dish!" Melina pointed out.

"AWESOME! I love bread! I could eat break for every meal for the rest of my life. It is delicious." William noted.

"I only got one slice!" Melina yelled.

"Oh... well that's not good. Who raised you?" William asked.

"Are you for real?" Melina said as if William had just asked the dumbest question in the world, which he had. "Mrs. Belongialy raised me. That is why you kicked my head, dragged me out of the basement, and ran into the woods with me . That is why everything that has happened today has happened. That is why we are here. That is why I am starving. That is why we are even having this conversation. In fact that is why we even met in the first place!" Melina was getting upset now. She tried to calm herself down.

"Is that why I had pancakes for breakfast this morning?" William said sarcastically, giggling, "Are you a fortune teller?"

Melina looked at him in complete rage. She was huffing and puffing. Her face was turning as red as a tomato. She stared at him for at least thirty seconds until she bolted. She sprinted after him and he ran faster than he had ever ran before. He didn't make it very far. He ducked behind a tree but it was no use. Melina had caught him. She grabbed him in fury. Quentin was not too far behind.

"Melina calm down!" Quentin screamed, "He was a smart ass I know! I will talk to him later."

Melina let go of William. Everyone looked at her as if she was some sociopath. William ran the furthest away and stayed away.

"I'm sorry William." Melina said from a distance because William kept backing away from her, "I was just a little frustrated tonight. I am a little nervous that Mrs. Belongialy will find us all. She is not going to rest until she finds us. She is the sociopath, not me. I have been down in that basement for so long that it's just I am a little on edge. Once again, I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean to frighten you."

"I forgive you." Said William, "I am sorry too. I shouldn't have been so rude. I was just kidding. Now I know how bad it was and that I shouldn't do that, daddy explained everything to me. I'm sorry."

"I forgive you too." Melina explained. Her voice was calm and soft.
