I stand there shocked as ever as this one person stares at me. While I have tears going down my face and I just look like a horrible,horrible mess

"Dad?!?"

"Hello sweetie" he smiles

I haven't seen him in forever... He's changed a lot. The last time I saw him he- well let's just say he wasn't the skinniest person on earth. But now he lost a lot of weight, wears fancy clothes. Actually shaves now.

He looks so different

"I'm sorry.. Is this a bad time?" He asks interrupting my thoughts

Uh. Yeah!

"Actually... No.. Just wait here and we'll talk" I answer him and walk away to my room

What the hell is he doing here?! What am I supposed to say to him! At this point I'm freaking out.

While I was freaking out-not knowing what to do, Rydel walks in the room

"Hey? Are you alright?" She asks all concern

I shake my head no.

"Talk to him.." She says lowly

I give her a 'really' look " I'm not ready to though, he can't just show up in my life out of no where."

She sighs "but he did and plus he is your dad. He's all you got left"

I give her a sad look after she said that,Then I respond "not true! I have you, your family, and Ellington."

"Ellington is my family" she giggles

"And he's mine too" I agree with her

She just laughs at me and says "but thanks Iz! Now go talk to your dad"

"Fineeee!" I groan "but I need to look like I haven't been crying" I add

"Okay but we have to make it quick" Rydel responds

*Riker's pov*

Isabelle's father and I went to go sit in the living room and talk

"How is Isabelle?" Isabelle's father asks

"Well... She's doing great" I lie

He just nods his head and we just sit here in awkward silence

"Uh.. Sorry to ask this but are you her boyfriend?" He questions

My eyes go wide and I immediately shake my head no

"I'm not. I'm just a really good friends of hers, we're like brother and sisters." I smile proudly at him

He lets out a big sigh of relief "Thank goodness"

I sit there confused as why he doesn't want her to have a boyfriend but I let it slide

Again awkward silence

Isabelle and Rydel finally enter the living room and sit next to me

I give Rydel eye contact, pointing my head to Isabelle's room so we could leave them alone. Rydel nods.

"We're going to leave you too alone" I smile

I stand up and lean into Isabelle's ear and whisper "good luck. You'll do just fine"

She thanks me and I give her a kiss in the cheek and Rydel hugs her and we both finally leave

*Isabelle's pov*

"Hi.." I start to begin

"I'm sorry I didn't come back" he replies

"I still don't understand why you didn't come back. You know that my sister told me you left because you wanted to raise her not me. Do you know how much that hurts" I begin to cry
