Deal With The Devil

Suspended

The duo followed Reed to his office, once there Roman helped Seth sit, before he sat beside him, Reed shut the door, before he sat at his desk and angrily spoke.

"I should fire you right now and throw the two of you in jail!"

"For what?" Roman asked.

"For lying to me about who your little boyfriend and girlfriend are for starters!" Reed answered.

"We never lied about anything sir!" Seth said defending them.

"The hell you didn't! What happened, you two develop amnesia then?"

"We told you everything!" Roman replied.

"Is that right Agent Reigns?" Reed said, as he opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out a picture, before he slammed it onto the desk in front of Roman and Seth. "Explain this then!"

"Where...where did you get this?" Seth asked, as they starred at the picture of Dean and Paige with The Authority.

"That's not important Agent Rollins! What is important though, is your not so innocent boyfriend and girlfriend work for the damn Authority! You two knew and you lied about it!" Reed said angrily.

"We didn't lie sir!" Seth repeated.

"Oh no? What would you call it then Agent Rollins?"

"Agent Reed, we can explain!" Roman said.

"I'm dying to hear your explanation Agent Reigns!" Reed said, as he sat back in his chair arms crossed, as he starred at them. "Anytime you're ready Agents, I'm waiting!"

"Agent Reed, they don't work for The Authority, they were undercover...sort of!"

"Explain that to me Agent Reigns please! How does one sort of work undercover?"

"Well sir, since they aren't on the police force, so they can't technically be undercover."

"So, what you're saying Agent Reigns, is that they were undercover because they're vigilantes?" Reed asked skeptically.

"Yes sir, they know all the damage The Authority has done to others and they wanted to stop them! End them once for all!" Seth added.

"I'm sorry gentlemen, but I'm having a hard time believing that two civilians woke up one day and just decided to become vigilantes!"

"It wasn't a one time or overnight thing sir!" Roman stated.

"Then what was it?"

"They did it because The Authority...screwed with their families!" Seth answered.

"That's exactly what Dean and Paige told me when I confronted them about the picture!"

"That's because it's..."

"A bunch of crap!" Reed said cutting Seth off angrily. "We're done here gentlemen!"

"Sir, you're..."

"Tired of listening to the four of you lie to my damn face!" Reed yelled, cutting Roman off. "Until I figure out what the hell is going on here you two are officially suspended starting right now!"

"What?" Roman and Seth said together.

"You're both suspended, turn in your badges and guns now!"

"This is insane! Agent Reed, you're making a huge mistake!" Roman stated, as he and Seth took out their badges and guns and put them on Reed's desk.

"You're right Agent Reigns, I did...by trusting you two!"

"Can we see them?" Seth asked.

"No!" Reed answered, as he picked up their things and put them in his drawer, locking it.

"Why?" Roman asked.

"Because Agents, this is an ongoing case and I don't need the four of you coming up with another story to get you out of this! I'm done with this crap, I'm ending this myself!" Reed explained. "You're dismissed gentlemen!"

"Sir, please let..."

"I. Said. You're. Dismissed!" Reed said upset cutting Seth off.

"This is..."

"No Seth, let's just go!" Roman said cutting Seth off this time.

They left the room, shutting the door behind them. Once in the hall Seth began to pace angrily, as he held his ribs, while Roman looked back into Reed's office and watched as he took out his phone and called someone. Roman was worried, they needed to see Dean and Paige; needed to know they were both okay! That wouldn't happen unless they figured out a way to convince Reed to let them, and of course that wasn't going to happen anytime soon he was too pissed!

"Dammit, Ro! What the hell do we do now?" Seth asked leaning on the wall across from Roman.

"We go home!" Roman answered sighing, trying to keep an injured Seth calm.

"Home? Are you serious?" Seth asked.

"Unless you have a better idea?" Roman answered frustrated. "Right now Seth we don't have any other options!"

"Dammit Rome, we're FBI Agents! Let's just go to their cells and demand to talk to them?"

"Oh yeah Seth, that's a good way to get our asses thrown into jail too!"

"I can't just do nothing Roman! We can't just leave them here!"

"What choice do we have Seth?"

"Dammit!" Seth said angrily.

"Come on, let's go home and figure out what our next move is!" Roman said gently, as he hugged Seth.

"Yeah...promise me we'll get them out of here Roman." Seth asked, when the hug ended.

"They're coming home Seth, I promise!"
