Deal With The Devil

After Seth left Roman, he went back to his room, shutting the door behind him he sat on the edge of the bed and sighed. He ran his good hand over his face, he didn't want to do this, but what else was there left for them to do? He reached for his phone on the nightstand, but stopped when he saw the picture of all four of them. Sadly he picked it up and looked at it, he could still remember the day it was taken; the picture was of the four of them on the hotel balcony, celebrating Dean being released from jail. Seth sighed shakily, as he touched each of his loved ones smiling faces, his heart aching, as his tears fell silently.

"I'm so sorry." He whispered, before he put the picture back and grabbed his phone, as he wiped his tears away.

He dialed Hunter's number, forcing himself not to hang up. After the fourth ring Hunter answered, Seth looked at the picture sadly, before he laid it face down on the nightstand unable to look at their faces any longer.

"I'm in!"

"What about Roman?" Hunter asked.

"He's not helping us!" Seth answered.

"Damn! It would have been easier with both of you, but oh well, we'll just have to improvise! Will he cause us problems?"

"No." Seth answered.

"Alright, meet us at 1440 Kingston Road, in 15 minutes!"

"I'm on my way!"

"Good, it's a pleasure doing business with you Agent Pretty Boy!" Hunter said, before he hung up.

**Later**:

Roman lay on his bed playing with his ring; a promise ring, Dean gave it to him and wore a matching ring. He felt so lost and helpless, Dean and Paige were in jail, Seth had joined forces with The Authority and there was nothing Roman could do to stop or fix any of it! All his life he played by the rules, never going against what was considered right! Then he met Dean and Paige and his world was turned upside down! They showed him that there was more to life than following rules and being a good guy! He also learned that sometimes what people claim to be the right thing, in the end isn't!

Maybe Seth was right? Maybe it was time to do what was right for him? He still felt like joining The Authority was all kinds of wrong, but he had no other options left! He got up and went to the main part of the room and quickly put his shoes and jacket on. He then grabbed his phone and keys, before he left the room to go find Seth. As soon as he was in his car he texted Seth and asked him where he was, Seth told him the address and Roman drove there.

When he arrived he parked across the street and starred at the large, seemingly abandoned building. His hands gripped the wheel, so tight his knuckles were white, as he forced himself to stay and get out of the car! 10 minutes later he got out and slowly made his way to the building and knocked on the door. Seconds later it opened and Kane stood there smiling, he let Roman inside and shut the door, as he did Roman saw Big Show standing in the hall. Smiling he walked up to Roman and quickly checked him for weapons, finding none he nodded to Kane who spoke.

"They're waiting for you! Follow me!" Kane said, as he began walking away, Roman quickly followed.

A couple of minutes later they arrived at a room upstairs, the door was shut, so Kane knocked and seconds later Hunter spoke telling them to come in. Kane opened the the door and went inside followed by Roman. Hunter smiled, as he stood, Roman went to him; he had to force himself not to leave or beat the shit out of Hunter!

"Ah, I see you decided to join us after all Agent Reigns!"

"I'm only doing this for Dean and Paige!" Roman stated angrily.

"We all are!" Hunter added, as he motioned for Roman to sit beside Seth at the large table in the middle of the room.

"So, what's our plan?" Roman asked, as he sat across from Seth instead, avoiding looking at him.

"Well, it's still in the planning process Roman! As you know things like this take time to plan and a job this big everything has to be perfect!" Hunter answered smiling, as he sat at the head of the table.

"What have you got so far?" Roman questioned, every fiber of his body screaming at him to leave!

Hunter and Seth spent the next hour filling Roman in on everything they had so far, then the three of them worked on the rest of their plan together. After working late into the night, they finally had their plan finalized and Hunter suggested they celebrate with drinks, so he left the room to get them. After he left Seth watched silently, as Roman stood and went to the window looking out into the dark night.

"Ro, I..."

"Don't!" Roman said cutting Seth off without looking at him. "We had no options left." He added, no emotion in his voice.

"Roman, I never wanted it to come to this! I really hoped we'd be able to do it on our own!"

"Did you Seth?" Roman demanded angrily, as he turned to look at him.

"Of course I did Roman! Why would you ask me something like that?" Seth questioned upset, as he stood too.

"You've been talking for weeks now about how we were being screwed by the damn bureau! And then the second Hunter calls, you agree to join up with him! So, forgive me brother, if I'm a little skeptical about believing you!" Roman answered angrily.

"You have no right to judge me Reigns! You're as much a part of this as I' am! Dammit Roman, I tried I really did, but I can't take being treated like that anymore...I can't pretend that their betrayal doesn't hurt!" Seth said defending himself. "They used us, until we were no longer useful to them, then they threw us away like we're garbage the second things get tough! After all we've done, after all we sacrificed for them, they believe some hillbilly reject over us!"

"So, what? This is revenge against the damn bureau Seth?" Roman demanded.

"No Roman, this is about doing what's right! It's about Dean and Paige! It's about you and me!" Seth answered, as Roman starred at him like he didn't know Seth anymore. "Don't look at me like that Ro, please!"

Before Roman could say or do anything Hunter returned smiling, carrying a bottle of scotch and three glasses. He sat the glasses down on the table and opened the bottle, pouring some into each glass, before he closed the bottle and put it down. He then gave a glass to Seth and Roman, before he picked his glass up and spoke.

"Welcome to the dark side gentlemen!" Hunter said holding up his glass, before he and Seth took a drink.

Roman watched as Hunter and Seth drank their scotch, he could feel his stomach turn. He quickly drank his own scotch in one mouthful, before he looked at Hunter. The only thought going through his head as he did was...he had just made a deal with the Devil!
