Seth was frozen, he had hoped Hunter would have been gone by the time Roman returned and he could talk to his brother, ease him into the plan! Roman was furious as he stood starring at the two men, his jaw and fists clenched, Hunter just stood there unmoved by it all.

"Hello Roman!" Hunter said smiling.

"Get the hell out!" Roman ordered.

"Is that any way to talk to an invited guest?" Hunter questioned.

"What? Seth, what the hell is he talking about?" Roman demanded.

"We're going into business together!" Hunter answered smiling, before Seth could.

"Like hell we are!" Roman said angrily. "Tell him Seth!" Roman ordered starring at a still smiling Hunter, Seth remained quiet. "Seth?" He questioned, turning to look at his brother.

"He's right Roman! I...I agreed to meet him and talk about working together to free Dean and Paige!"

"You what? Are you crazy?" Roman demanded.

"Roman, what choice do we have? It's been days and we've gotten no where dammit!" Seth answered.

"There's never a good reason to join forces with them!" Roman stated angrily.

"As fun as it is to watch you two fight, I think I'm going to go and leave you to your little lovers quarrel!" Hunter said smiling, as he walked to the door, but stopped and turned to face them, as he spoke again. "Before I do, just remember boys, the offer to join us still stands! The Authority looks forward to working with you two!" He said, before he left.

Once he was gone, Roman angrily began to pace, while Seth sat down sighing. Roman stopped and turned to Seth as he spoke.

"Have you lost your damn mind Seth? What would ever make you think working with them is a good idea?" Roman demanded.

"Dammit Ro, what does it matter who we work with as long as Dean and Paige are freed?"

"Seth, they're criminals! And we're..."

"FBI Agents, the good guys!" Seth began, as he cut Roman off. "I'm tired of being one of the good guys Rome!"

"What?" Roman asked shocked, he couldn't believe Seth was talking like that.

"What's the damn point of being one of the good guys if they treat you like a criminal anyway?"

"I get it Seth, I do trust me; no one knows that better than me, but working with The Authority? We can't, it makes us no better than the people we arrest! What would Dean and Paige say if they knew you were thinking of doing this?" Roman asked upset, knowing bringing them into it would make Seth think.

"Fine then Roman, you got a better idea? If you do than I'm willing to hear it!"

"No, but we will! We just need to..."

"To what Roman huh? Wait? We've been waiting for days now and nothing's changed dammit!" Seth said upset cutting Roman off. "Roman, I love you...but I'm doing this, I'm sorry! I'm going to call Hunter in the morning, whether you join me or not!" Seth said, as he stood.

"Seth, please! I'm begging you, give me a couple of days to think of something before you call Hunter! I'm asking you this as your brother, not your partner!"

"Alright Ro, you have two days, then I'm calling Hunter!" Seth agreed, before he left the room.

**Two Days Later**:

Time slipped away and Roman did everything he could think of to come up with a way to not only free Dean and Paige, but to get rid of all the evidence too. No matter what he thought of though, he always found a flaw in it, causing him to scrap the idea and start again! He knew time was running out, but none of his plans would work. He refused to just give up though, he wasn't going to let his brother join The Authority; they were the reason they had come to town in the first damn place!

By the evening of the second day, he still had nothing and felt like he not only let Dean and Paige down, but Seth too! Seth came to Roman's room to check on him; he hadn't seen him in two days and he was worried, and was secretly hoping Roman would find something...anything! Seth had spent the last two days trying and failing to figure some way out of this too, he really didn't want to join forces with The Authority, but he didn't have any other options! Seth watched silently as Roman paced, their eyes met and Seth knew by the defeated look in Roman's eyes that he had failed.

"Have you..."

"No!" Roman said cutting Seth off sadly. "Seth, don't do this please!"

"Ro, I gave you a chance to prove we can do this alone and we can't!"

"So that's it then? You're turning your back on everything we stand for and joining up with The Authority?" Roman said upset.

"No Roman, they turned their backs on us! After all we've done, all the good you claim we did, they still treat us like damn criminals! I'm getting them out Roman, are you with us?"

"No! I...I can't Seth, I'm sorry." Roman answered sadly.

"Yeah, so am I!" Seth replied, before he turned and went to his room.
