I knew she was there. I knew Annika was there. Kahit di ko man siya nakikita, alam ko, she was there to watch my game. But I just wonder kung bakit kahapon ko lang siya naramdaman ulit. Since she was gone, I have never felt her presence anymore, kahapon nalang ulit.
“Nandun ka kahapon.” I said as I placed down the bouquet of flowers I bought for her. “Even though I can’t see you, I can still feel you, you know?”
Humangin bigla. It made me smile. I can feel her once again.
“And you’re here… with me.” I said and smiled.
I sat down the ground. “Ba’t ngayon ka lang nag-paparamdam ha? Well, kahapon pala. Is this because of what I’ve told you kahapon?”
“Ayaw mo ba akong mag move on babe? Kung ayaw mo hin—“ I was cut off nung biglang kumulog. “Okay okay. Mag mo-move on na!”
“But seriously Annika, what do you want me to do? I mean, are you up with something?” I asked as I compose myself back. “Are you gonna help me find her now?”
Humangin ulit. I feel like she was answering my questions through this.
“So, nakita ko na ba siya?” I asked. “Was she there during the game?”
I was waiting na humangin ulit, pero wala.
“Excuse me.” Someone spoke from behind.
This time, humangin na. It was kinda long. I don’t know what it really meant. But I’m sure it meant something.
I turned my back and looked up to see who spoke. Nagulat ako when I recognized her. Siya yung babae kahapon.
“Ye..yes?” I stuttered.
She looked at me intently, pero halata din na nagulat siya.
“Uhh,” she mumbled and immediately bent down and took something and hid it on her back. “May na-iwan lang ako.”
Hindi ko nga napansin yung naiwan niyang gamit. I wonder what it is. And I wonder who she is.
“Kilala mo si Annika?” I asked. She nodded, still trying not look at me.
“Ikaw? Kilala mo ang bestfriend ko?” she asked.
Bestfriend? Ibig sabihin…
“Saabreena?” I asked.
Kumunot ang noo niya. She looked confused. “Kilala mo ako?”
