I DREW ON MY ARM LAST NIGHT AND NOW IT'S THE NEXT MORNING AND THERE'S BLACK MARKER EVERYWHERE.

"Wait wait. So you're saying you've never been to taco bell?" Tyler asks in amazement.
It's been almost an hour since Tyler met me at the tree. I let him into my house and we've been talking like we've been friends forever. But I'm still not sure if I can trust him.
"Nope. My parents are big on the whole 'fresh food and good health' thing."
"Taco bell is healthy." He says standing up.
"Goin somewhere?" I giggle.
"Yes, I'm taking you to taco bell."
I groan yet stand up and follow him out the door.
We walk for a little bit in total silence, but it wasn't awkward.
"We're here!" He exclaims and runs up to the door only to be greeted by a sign that says:
Closed for repair.
Sorry for the inconvenience!"SHIT. Sorry Josh, it'll have to be some other time."
"Can't we just go to del taco?"
"NO WE CAN'T GO TO DEL TACO IT'S NOT THE SAME."
"I've heard it's exactly the same."
"It's not." He mumbles with a pout.
"Okay fine. If you're really hungry let's just go to 711."
His face brightens immediately, "Sure!"
Now we sit at a park, Tyler chugging a mountain dew, me slowly drinking my red bull, trying to start a conversation.
"So..." Tyler speaks up, "You play the drums?"
"Oh, yeah."
"Where did you learn?"
"I taught myself."
"You're really good" he says smiling at me.
"Really?" I say, honestly confused.
"Yeah! You're stupid good."
"T-that means a lot." I smile at him.
"Awe, you're welcome."
"I would say you're good at the piano, but when you played I couldn't hear you."
"Oh I'm not good. Trust me."
I nearly said 'I don't' but that would be rude.
"I doubt it." I decide on saying.
"I taught myself. Like you did with the drums. But I don't know how to read music so I just kinda. Pressed the keys and tried to make cool sounds."
"That was me with the drums. But I eventually taught myself how to read drum music."
We stay silent for a bit. But I don't mind. The park we're in is super pretty. I turn my head to see what Tyler is doing, only to find him staring at me.
"You're super handsome." He says.
I nearly choke. He's called me ugly before. He's called me fat and ugly and worthless. What the fuck changed.
Without thinking I blurt out, "Just last week you said I was fat and ugly."
His expression drops. I regret saying what I said. He probably hates me again now. But, I still don't know if I can trust him. But he's growing on me.
"I know. And I d-didn't mean it. I didn't want all my 'friends' to think I had gone soft. I hated calling you fat and ugly. You're hadsome, cute, and pretty. You're not fat either. You just have chub and to be honest. It's adorable. I know you probably don't trust me, but I want you to know that I left all my friends, broke up with my girlfriend, and I'm planning to apologize to all the people I hurt. Starting with you."
I feel better about myself with every stupid sappy word that comes out of his stupid sappy mouth.
He looks like he's about to cry. "I'm sorry Josh. I'm so so so sorry. I'm sorry for being a dick, I'm sorry for being homophobic, transphobic, I'm sorry for everything."
Now I'm the one who's crying. I can't stop myself from throwing my arms around him and crying into his shoulder. And I feel even better when he hugs back.
Still hugging me he says, "god I hated calling you a fag. I hate that word. I'm bisexual for fucks sake. I don't even know why I went there."
"You're bi?" I pull away.
"I'm a raging bisexual yes."
I hug him again. I'll tell him later. I have to.
"So are we friends, or...?" He asks, his arms on my waist.
"Friends." I say.
He smiles.
"Thanks." He mumbles.
Knowing what he ment I whisper, "you're welcome."
