As everything became hazy as the blood poured out of my veins I dropped to the floor but just before I blacked out I could hear banging on the door and the door bursting open....

Nathaniel's POV
I hadn't seen Amara in hours I decided to go and  check on her and heard her crying and when the door was locked I panicked so I burst it down and rushed to her limp beaten body and checked her pulse she's still breathing.

I picked up her fragile body and carried her to the pack doctor " Amara keep your eyes open love stay with me " I got her to the pack doctor and she put her on a drip and was stitching  up her wounds I wasn't allowed in which made me even more worried.

I wonder who drove her to this. I bet this was one of her pack members. If i find out who did this they will regret it what they did because if I find them they will wish they were never born.

I had been sitting with my head in my hands for what seemed like hours but it had only been 20 minutes the door creaked open and I shot up out of my seat " alpha we have stitched her wounds and the drip is still in her arm she will have to stay here for a few days for observation just until she gets better " I smiled at her and thanked her.

" is she awake ? " she nodded and smiled " can I see her " she didn't reply she just opened the door and I walked inside and the door closed behind me. I sat down on the seat beside the bed and took her hand in my own and smiled at her " Amara love , what happened ?" She turned her head and a tear slipped down her cheek.

" he told me I didn't deserve you and that you will never love me and they beat me and called me names and I just couldn't take it anymore Nate i just couldn't handle the pain" I stared into her beautiful blue sparkling eyes " who did this Amara ?" She turned to look at me.

" i-i-it was ja-m-m-es and his friends " the anger was building up inside of me I couldn't take this anymore she can't live like this it isn't right I am going to kill James he is a dead man.

I stood up and Amara grabbed my hand tightly " Nate leave it , it's no big deal " I kissed her forehead " don't worry I just want to talk to him, I will be right back love don't worry" she smiled and I left the room and went to the game room I figured he would be there and I was right he was.

I walked straight up to him and pushed him back causing him to almost fall " what the heck Nate ?!" He growled lowly " what is wrong with you James ?" He stared at me like he hadn't got a clue what I was saying " what are you talking about dude ?" I growled loudly at him " you know what I'm talking about dude , the fact that you and your little possey beat up Amara and then she tried to take her life because of you " he smirked and chuckled.

" oh you mean that , I don't see what the problem is she's just a nobody that nobody cares about why do you like her anyway I mean she's a worthless piece of .." before he could finish I punched him square in the face and tackled him to the ground punching him harder each time causing his face to bust open and blood to pour out everywhere I stood up pulling him up by his shirt.

" if you ever talk about her like that again you will regret it because next time I won't stop do you understand me " I let go of him sending him crashing to the floor and walked out of the room. My knuckles had been cut open by the force of the punchs his face.

He deserved it he should really know not to piss of an alpha. I walked back to my room and went into to the bathroom and took a long shower my knuckles stung for a bit but then it didn't hurt at all and they were already starting to heal.

After getting dressed I went back to the pack doctor and walked into the room and sat in the chair and looked at an asleep Amara her face bruised and her wrists has stitches on them from the cuts I can't believe she was almost taken away from me I've only known her for a few days but I'm really starting to fall in love with her.

She has a tight grip around my heart and I promise that from now on I will keep her safe from harm. I took her hand in mine and kissed her forehead causing her eyes to flutter open and her gaze to turn to me " I'm sorry for waking you love " she smiled "it's fine you didn't " she smiled brightly her voice still a little croaky.

Her slender body shook a little I pulled the covers over her a little more she smiled. I smiled at her again and sat there being thankful that I found her in time or who knows what could have happened.

" Nate what happened to your knuckles?" I gazed down at them and looked at her " I taught James a well deserved lesson he won't be bothering you any time soon " she frowned a little" Nate I told you to leave it " I kissed her hand " I'm sorry love I was just so angry I couldn't control myself " she smiled a little and laughed.

" what's so funny ?" I smiled " you're so cute when your being protective " I smiled at her again and kissed her soft plump lips and she kissed me back " Nate can you sleep with me tonight?" I smiled and nodded at her and got into the bed beside her and wrapped my arm underneath her and she snuggled into my chest and closed her eyes.

" don't worry Amara I will keep you safe I won't let anyone hurt you ever again " I whispered and kissed her forehead and closed my eyes and fell into a dark sleep .
