Ch.6- Beach Days

Luke's P.O.V

It was exam week. As a matter of fact it was the last day of exams and the last day of school for seniors. Throughout this entire week I actually talked to Cas. Not to bully her, but just talk to her. Get to know her better. She didn't give me too much into her life, but I got just enough to know her a little bit better before. I even got her to laugh. I think I like this better then the bullying.

I was sitting in my Tech class finishing my exam. I ran my fingers through my hair and clicked the 'Submit' button on the screen. Finished. Finally. I sighed with relief and leaned back in my chair. I glanced up at the clock and saw we had 10 minutes left. I looked over Cal who was passed out with his head in his arms, snoring. I tapped his shoulder. He groaned a little then sat up and looked at me.

"What?" He said sleepily

"We have 10 minutes left dumbass." I replied.

"Oh shit I'm only on question 5." He said and frantically started clicking random answers.

"Have fun answering the other 70 in 10 minutes." I laughed and he flipped me off as he clicked through the questions.

Once Cal had finished we only had 2 minutes of class left. I leaned back in my chair and crossed my arms over my chest. 'Almost summer.' I kept repeating in my head.

"Hey Luke," Cal interrupted my thoughts "wanna get a bunch of people together and go to the beach?"

"Hell yeah I do." I smiled.

The bell then rang. Cal and I stood up and walked out of class and went to find Michael. As I walked down the hall I passed Cas, Jet, and Jax. I stopped when I saw them and gently tapped Jax on the shoulder. She turned and faced me.

"Hey Luke." She smiled.

"Hey," I smiled back. "do you three wanna go to the beach with Mike, Cal, Ash, and me?"

Cas looked at Jet and Jax. "I mean why not have fun before going to camp?" She said to them. They both shrugged.

"Yeah we'll be there. What beach?" Cas said looking back at me.

"Silverstone." I replied.

"See ya there." Cas said and they walked away.

Calum smiled. "Now I can see Jet!!"

"Ooooo Calum has a crush!" I said taunting him.

"Shut you like Cas. You got all heart eyes when you saw her." He shot back.

I smacked his arm and rolled my eyes. We found Michael and told him the news. He was happy he got to mess with Jax, but I could tell he sensed that I had a thing for Cas. So much for a secret.

My feet dug into the warm sand as we walked onto the beach. I tossed my towel on the ground alongside my shoes. Calum took a deep breath.

"Ahhhh the sweet smell of the ocean." He said.

"Yeah how's this for a sweet smell?" Michael came out of no where and dumped a bucket of water on Cal.

Cal gasped and glared at Michael. "You son of a.." his voiced trailed off as Cas, Jax, and Jet walked up. "Well hello ladies." He said and wiggled his eyebrow at Jet.

She rolled her eyes. "Just cause I made out with you doesn't mean you have a chance Hood."

"That's not what you said in the closet lovely." He smirked

Her face went all red. "So...who's ready for a swim?"

"Me!" Jax said smiling.

"Hi Jax." Michael said with a goofy grin on his face.

"Hi Mikey." She giggled.

I looked at Cas. "Hey there."

"Hi Luke." She said, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear and looking down.

"Ready for a swim?" I asked.

She took her cover up off and stood there awkwardly in her bright purple bikini. "Now I am."

"Good." I picked her up and tossed her over my shoulder.

She screamed. "LUKE PUT ME DOWN."

"Whatever you say girly girl." I said and dropped her in the water.

She stood up and gasped. "You little..." she splashed me and I jumped.

"Holy fuck that's cold." I said, my muscles tensed.

She stared at me for a second then blinked. "Uhm yeah ya think?" She laughed.

"CAS HELP!" Jax screamed from the shore as Michael ran into the water and fell taking Jax with him.

"Nice one Michael!" She burst out laughing.

Jax stood up and shoved Michael under water and rubbed her eyes. "You bastard!"

Michael stood up laughing. "Aww someone's angry. It's cute."

"I will wreck you Clifford!" She said blushing.

"Only if it's in the bedroom." He winked at her.

I burst out laughing and watch Jax's face go red. "Damn Mike you got not chill."

He shrugged. "Well I'm just sayin."

     I looked at Cas and she was smiling at Jax and Michael. I bit my lip. "Hey Cas?"

"Yeah Luke?" She said looking at me.

"I...I'm glad you came." I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Thanks for in.." She trailed off when Michael walked up.

"Sorry to interrupt. But Luke we gotta talk." He said and looked me right in the eyes.

"I'll see you later Luke." She smiled and walked back over to her friends.

"Uhm. What the hell Luke." He crossed his arms.

"What? Am I not aloud to be friends with her?" I shot back.

"You've been nice to her all week and invited her to the beach. Are you going soft?" He said raising his eye, his eyebrow ring shifting.

I bite my lip. "No I'm not going soft. Just thought you'd wanna see Jax."

"Mhm. Yeah of course I want to see her. Just to fuck her. Nothing else." He said.

"Oh well that's what I'm doing with Cas. I want her to think I like her ya know?" I said quickly.

He studied my face and then nodded. "Good. That's what I thought."

I nodded nervously and rub the back of my neck. Yeah I know I lied to Michael. I know it was stupid, but I can't have him take over our group. It would be hell. Cas isn't gonna find out about what he said or I said anyways.
