Cas' P.O.V

I put my truck in reverse and backed out of the parking spot. Since it was Saturday I got the day off work thankfully. I spun the steering wheel and put it back into drive when it was safe to turn. I pulled out of the parking garage, the engine roaring as I hit the gas. I smiled at the looks I got when people realized it was a girl driving and a guy sitting in the passenger seat. It felt good.

"Damn. I didn't realize you had a truck." Luke said, looking at me and smiling.

I chuckled. "Yeah I couldn't really tell you about it while we were in school."

"Yeaaahhh." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"Oh well. It's in the past and plus now you know I have a badass truck." I glanced at him and smiled, then turned my attention back to the road.

He laughed. "It definitely is a badass truck."

"Yup, it's my baby. Helps me get away from my Dad and watch the stars at night." I said, patting the steering wheel.

"So, you like looking at the stars?" He asked.

"Yeah. I love the stars. They always make me smile and it's calming to look up at them." I said, flipping on my left turn signal.

I turned left onto my dirt road. I felt my heartbeat increase as we got closer to my house. My Dad was gonna kill me. Especially since I brought a boy home. I bit my lip and felt butterflies in my stomach. Adrenaline flooded my veins as I caught sight of my mailbox. I took my foot off the gas a little as we approached. Luke must've noticed my nervous body language.

"Cas, relax. It'll be okay. I promise." He said with a reassuring smile.

I took a deep breath and nodded, forcing a smile. "I hope so."

I pulled into the long driveway. I drove up the hill and park at the top next to the house. My house was closely surrounded by woods at the top of the hill. My Mom always used to say that we could go hunting off of the back porch since the deer liked our backyard. I missed my Mom and I really wish she was here with me. She would have calmed my Dad down and made the situation better. This wouldn't have happened in the first place. Luke wouldn't be sitting in my passenger seat. I shook my head, pushing the thought from my head.

I pulled the key out of the ignition and opened my door. I got out and closed the door. I walked around the front of my truck, Luke was waiting for me. I looked at him and he looked back at me, confidently. I gave him a small smile then looked straight ahead and walked up the small path leading to the front porch. I walked up the two small steps and up to the front door. I placed my hand on the door knob. I took a deep breath and turned the knob, then stepped into the house.

"Dad? I'm home." I said, barely loud enough to fill the hallway with my voice.

"Well well well, look who finally decided to come back." A voice came from the living room.

I stepped into the living room. Luke closed the door behind him and followed, standing behind me. "Dad. This is Luke. Luke Hemmings. He's a close friend."

"Ha. Close friend my ass. What have I told you about boys? Huh? Did you sleep with him last night? You are a whore after all." My father said, not looking away from the TV.

Luke cut in before I could say something. "She did spend the night, sir. However, she insisted that I sleep in a different room. So, I slept on the couch and she slept in my bed."

"Don't lie, boy. My daughter is too dumb to do that. She'd want a boy to be all up on her. Especially with that clothing. Your Mother wouldn't have approved." He said, looking at me and smirking then looked back at the TV.

Something in me snapped. "You know what Dad? Fuck you. Mom wanted me to express myself. She wanted me to be who I am. My goddamn clothes have nothing to do with what I want from a guy. She knows who I am and how I was towards boys. You are too drunk and ignorant to even give a shit about my life. I take care of YOU."

He snapped his head away from the TV and looked at me with rage in his eyes. "You are the reason your Mom is dead. It should have been you and not her. We could've always had more kids, but no instead here you are. Alive and well while shes in the ground."

"What the fuck is your problem? Cas had nothing to do with her Mom's death. Her Mom saved her life. She did more for her then you ever have." Luke said, clenching his fist.

"Shut up you. You don't know anything. Get the hell out of my house. If I ever see you again I'll kill you." My Dad said, narrowing his eyes at Luke.

Luke opened his mouth to respond, but I stopped him. "Luke stop it's okay. Just step outside please."

He looked at me, his bright eyes filled with anger and hatred. Something I was used to seeing from him, but haven't seen in a while. He looked back at my Dad then walked out of the house, shutting the door behind him.

"You're an asshole." I said, looking at my Dad.

"Oh shut the hell up. Make your talk with him fast. Get him off of my property. I don't wanna see him again." He said, watching the TV.

I turned and walked out of the house, onto the front porch. I looked at Luke and then felt my eyes start to well up. I tried to hold back the tears, but they just poured out and there was no stopping them. He pulled me into his arms and I buried my face in the crook of his neck let the tears fall. I never let Luke see me cry not until now. He didn't let go of me and that was what I needed. Maybe he really has changed.
