Chapter 6

I chose a tight fitting pink suite with a gold skirt, I went to bed and couldn't stop thinking about Rishi.

I woke up the next morning early, it was 6am and I was decorating the cake. The party started at 2pm and finished at 7pm. Rishi was picking me up at 12 so he could take me to his house first to meet his parents and then go to the hall together.

I had finished the cake and it was 10am, I put it in a box and went to have a shower. I started doing my hair and make-up and finished getting ready. I looked at the clock and it was almost 12. I grabbed my purse and went downstairs.

The doorbell rand and dad answered it, he put the cake in the boot of Rishi's car and I said bye.

"Make a good impression" mom gave me a hug and I left. We got in the car and I started shaking.

"Calm down they will like you I promise" he kissed the back of my hand and I calmed down a little. We pulled up their house and it was amazing. It was sort of big and looked really modern. I took a breath and Rishi took my hand.

He was holding the cake in his hands and I was walking up the steps, he knocked the door and I started panicking.

"Do I look ok" I asked fiddling with my hair

"Yes you look amazing now breathe" I did as he said and a woman opened the door.

"Rishi thank god you're here" she gave him a small hug and she turned to me.

"You must be Riya" I nodded and said hello, I gave her a hug and she looked me over. "You look beautiful come in we have to get going soon" Rishi put the cake in the kitchen and I met Rishi's dad too.

"Rishi she is beautiful" he nodded at me and I blushed.

"Right, Sonia is upstairs can you go and tell her we need to leave soon" Rishi nodded and took me up with him.

He knocked on her door and she said come in. "Hi" she mumbled

"Sonia this is Riya"

"Happy Birthday" she smiled and thanked me then had a frown on her face. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing I ordered some jewellery but it didn't come" I looked at her outfit and I knew I had some at home to match. Her outfit was a purple Lehenga.

"I have some purple Jewellery at home if you want me to get it" her eye's brightened and she smiled at me.

"Really you would let me borrow it" I nodded

"Sure, how about I go home and get it and we meet you guys at the hall" she nodded and thanked me.

"You're the best" she smiled and Rishi and I left. I rang mom and asked her to get the jewellery. She handed me the box and we went to the hall. Once we got there we parked up and I took the jewellery to the VIP room.

"Here" I handed her the box of all the purple stuff I had and she put a few pieces on.

"Thanks so much you saved me"

"It's fine" I smiled at her

"Let's go" she took my arm and we walked out together.

A thought occurred to me, "Rishi" I called him over and I let go of Sonia. "What are you going to tell the people who ask who I am?"

"The truth that your my girlfriend and were serious. I always get proposals but I have always denied saying I have someone but know it's not a lie" he pecked my lips and I smiled. "Sit at the reserved table with me and my parents" I nodded and put my purse down on my chair.

"Riya" someone called my name and guest started coming in. I looked around and saw Rishi's mom calling me.

"The cake is amazing Rishi told me you made it"

"Ye I hope it's ok"

"It looks amazing well done" she patted my back and I smiled I'm glad she liked it. "I want you to stay close to Rishi tonight ok, people will get the idea that he is with someone. I normally get proposals but I wanted my son to have the best and he found that on his own" she smiled at me and Rishi came towards us and we started chatting.
