Fitteh Moo by Miss Pooja and PBN the DJ declared a dance battle between girls and boys.

First it was Rishi's mom vs Rishi's dad, then some of his aunts and uncles. Rishi and I were pushed forward. I tied my chuni to my side and kicked my heels off.

I had taken professional Bhangra lessons when I was in my teens. Time to show them what I got, I danced against Rishi and he was gobsmacked.

All the girls cheered me on and I was laughing, "Rishi what you doing man" the DJ yelled.

"The girl in the Pink and gold totally Killed it, well done Riya" I did a bow and Sonia and Rishi's mom were dying with laughter.

The party died down and most people had gone it was only us young people left and I was cleaning up the hall. I got all the balloons together and Rishi and his friends were sorting out the bottles and food. I sat down because my feet started to hurt and Rishi came over to me.

"It's late do you want to go back to mine" I nodded and texted my mom. Rishi started drinking so I had to drive to his parent's house alone with the decorations. Rishi hadn't drunk a lot but I knew he would now his parents were gone and he was with his friends. He was drunk almost an hour later and I put him in his car and drove to his apartment. He was able to walk just not in a straight line I say him down and got him into his bed. He unzipped my suit and I changed into some of his clothes.

I crawled into bed beside him and he wrapped his arms around me. "I told you my family would love you" he mumbled and pressed his lips to mine.

"I'm glad they did" I kissed him once more and went to sleep exhausted.

I woke up the next day to Rishi rubbing my back, and kissing my neck. I rolled over and put my head on his chest.

"Morning" I mumbled

"Morning" he kissed my head and got out of bed, I groaned and got up. I went to his bathroom and did my toothbrush. I made some breakfast for him and he hadn't talked much.

"What's wrong" I sat on his lap and kissed him.

"Nothing just got a headache, how much did I drink last night"

"Well I had to help you get to bed, but you were ok" I handed him some painkillers and he lay down on the sofa.

"I don't usually drink much" he mumbled

"I noticed" I wonder why he seemed so weird today about him drinking. "What's wrong Rishi"

"I swore I would never drink much" I looked at him and he continued. "When I was younger my dad got drunk pretty much every day he used to shout and scream at us and on a couple of occasions he hit my mom as well" I hugged him tight, I had no idea.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't pry" he kissed me and pulled away,

"It's fine I trust you, my dad had a rough patch and he regrets his actions to this day. He's not like that anymore"

"I can see, he was really nice yesterday" he nodded and we just lay on the sofa together. "There's a lot of stuff I don't know about you and there is a lot of stuff you don't know about me. My family is not perfect but it doesn't have to be" he nodded and I kissed him again. I heard someone clear their throat and I turned around Jay was stood in the doorway watching us. I got off Rishi's lap and made Jay some food. Rishi dropped me off at home and I talked to mom for a while.

My sister came into my room and started yelling "What are you trying to prove huh. Dad is letting you stay at his house, I can't believe this"

"You don't tell him the truth, I met Rishi and told dad as soon as I did so he was aware of him and I let dad know what was going on. I am not going to lie like you do" she huffed and pushed me.
