(A/N) Sorry for the long wait. I've had troubles writing it! But I've uploaded the part 4 already! You could read it after this! Enjoy!
“What do you want to eat Paige?” Asher asks as I look on the menu board at the counter. I think I’m craving for a big, juicy Quarter Pounder! Nom, nom. Yum!
“Hmmm, I think I’m having a Double Quarter Pounder please.”
“Nothing more?” Okay, wait. I still want to try others!
“On second thought, I’d also like to have some Chicken Nuggets, Large Fries, and Premium Bacon Ranch Salad with lots of Grilled Chicken!!” I say enthusiastically! I think I’m having a sugar rush, ‘cause when we drove here, we’re eating Reese’s inside the car! And I ate most of it!
“Just that?” He asks again, sarcastically.
“Oohh, oohh, and a Strawberry Banana Smoothie, Hot Fudge Sundae and Strawberry and Crème Pie!!” Yay, food!
“You seriously gonna eat all of those?!”
“Of course not, I’m going to share it with you!” He smiles. He still knows that I’m sweet and kind enough to share foods with him! Haha. He messes my hair up! He turns to the cashier who looks like she’s in her mid-forties. She’s probably the manager.
“Okay ma’am, we’ll have what she said, and I would like to have a Bacon and Cheese Quarter Pounder.”
That’s what I also like about him. He’s very respectful to others, especially the ones older than him. Even though he’s somewhat substantial, he doesn’t look on other peoples statuses. He treats everyone equally, except for the ones who are acting like a bitch. He doesn’t like that. We were raised like that. I’m quite confident to say that our parents raised us really well.
“That would be fifty-four dollars sir.”
“Please ma’am, don’t call me sir.” He smiles at the cashier.
“You’re really respectful. I haven’t seen kids like this in a long time.” She shakes her head disapprovingly. We smile at her.
“Your girlfriend is so beautiful. You two look very nice together.” She smiles at me.
“Oh no ma’am. We’re not--” I try to protest but Asher cuts me off, saying:
“Yes, she really is beautiful. I’m lucky to have her.” He smiles at me and kisses my temple.
I freeze and give him a what-was-that-about look. He just winks at me.
Okay, we played a little before. When someone asked if we’re dating or if they assumed that we are and said that we look good together, we played along. We would say things like “Yes, and I’m lucky to have him”, or “I love her more than anything in the world”, or anything cheesy. Then, people would go ‘aaawww’. I’d have to admit, if someone would see us together and they don’t know us that well, they’d probably think that we’re really dating because of our behavior with each other. Actually, I don’t mind at all. We’re best friends. We probably have done most of the weirdest things together which makes us really close and not mind the things that we do together.
“Yeah, he is lucky.” I hug him. Haha. I miss this kind of thing that we do. But this time, I’m feeling weird. It’s like what he said has a double meaning. It was like he really meant it. I don’t know… ugh! Never mind! Why would he mean it? He has a freaking girlfriend. Besides, he just treats me like his little girl of best friend. I’m just hungry. I want to eat already!
“Here’s your order. Enjoy!” The manager says. We have two big brown bags in each of our hands. We do have a lot of food and we’re going to eat them at the beach! But right now, we’ll go to my house first to get some clothes!
