"Amy, wake up babe" My mother's voice rang through my small bedroom.

          I glanced up from under my deep purple comforter and  saw that she was dressed in jeans and a blouse that definitely complimented her upper region.

"Yeah mom? What time is it?"

"Nearly five.  I thought i would take you and the boys out for dinner. A nice family outing...God only knows we haven't had that in a while since," her voice trailed off then but she looked at me and smiled,

"Hurry get dressed, I'm starved!"

"Okay be there in a sec"

"Invite Adam, i haven't seen him in awhile. How's he doing?"

"Fine i guess, he dropped out of school..."

"Oh, well call him I'm sure he'd love to come, but hurry your brother is getting antsy out there," and with that she walked out  of the room.  I couldn't believe what i just saw. My mom looked completely sober and.....happy, that's something i haven't seen in a while. Maybe things are changing for the better, or maybe she's just trying to make up for the fact that she never noticed another resident in our little trailer.

            After getting  dressed and calling over Adam the five of us piled into Mitch's Honda. Him and mom were in the front talking animatedly and i was in  the back wedged between a solemn Jason and a chatty Adam. He was telling me about his recent addition of tattoos to his neck that his mother couldn't stand. I tried my best to look impressed but personally tats aren't my thing and the thought off needles.....no. Finally we made it to the restaurant, well buffet, and i couldn't have been more relieved.

  "Isnt this nice?" My mother asked, smiling at each of us in turn.

"Yes, Thank you Mrs.Miller" Mitch replied

"No no no call me Linda hun, after all we will be living together for the summer" she said laughing.

             Once we were seated with our plates filled with food i was able to finally sneak glances at Mitch. Jason didn't like it when we talked, if only he knew about  the past few nights, so i kept my mouth shut  around him. He looked up at me coyly, reaching his foot out to touch me on the leg. I returned the gesture with a higher aim, causing him to cough up his drink.

"Yo bro you okay?" Jason asked.

"Yeah, just went down the wrong pipe is all"

"Tell me Mitch, what do your parents do for a living?" Asked my mother.

"Ma.." warned Jason.

"What? I'm just curious" She said while shooting me a wink.

"My father is the CEO at a corporate company and my mother owns a boutique."

"How lovely! Pardon me for asking but what brings you to stay in our neck of the woods?"

"My father, right before the end of the semester, found out that i wasn't following in his footsteps. I told him that i wanted to go into medical, something that he's against. Basically it was a battle of wills that didn't turn out how he wanted. If i didn't do as he said i couldn't come home and well you can guess how it turned out"

"Standing for what you believe in. I like that, you're a fighter...just like my Amy here." I looked down at  my plate when she said this and Mitch shot me a smile. Jason had zoned out on our conversation and started up one with Adam, thankfully.

          The rest of the night went by in a blur of one plate after the next, belching, loud laughter, and laid back conversation. For the first time in a long while i actually felt happy, nothing could  have ended the night better than a secret rendezvous with Mitch. Unfortunately one of Jason's friends invited them to hang out and Jason willingly accepted. So me, mom, and Adam got dropped of at the house and together we spent the night watching a movie with a big bowl of popcorn.

"Alright kids, I'm gunna hit the sack. I've got a job interview tomorrow morning so wish me luck" my mother said proudly.

"What about the factory?" Adam asked. That was where his mom and mine had met and how Adam and I became the bestfriends we are today.

"Eh i need a new change of scenery. Something that didn't leave me coming home everyday smelling like ash. Goodnight ya'll." She kissed us both on the cheek and stumbled sleepily into her  bedroom.

"Well i guess i better get home then," Adam reluctantly said.

"Sure you don't want to sleep over? Jason wont be home till late."

"Nah I've gotta go home and kiss some ass, but you stay safe okay?"

"Okay. 'Night Adam, I love ya"

"Love ya too Ams," he knelt down and gave my forehead a kiss before disappearing into the night.

                                                                   ~~~~Late that night~~~~
"Amy, psst psst hey Amy!" Mitch whispered from the bottom of my bed. I could tell  that he was drunk from the way his voice was slurred.
"Shh! You're gunna get us in trouble"
"Sorry, sorry" he said while climbing under the comforter.
"S'okay, missed you tonight" i said, snuggling closer to his bare chest.
           Instead of saying it back he wrapped his arms around me, kissing my head over and over. We laid like that for a while, just snuggling under the covers. Finally he said he had to go and get back on the couch before anyone woke up. I reluctantly agreed and kissed him one last time, biting his lip a little.
"Amy...don't do this to me," he said while laughing softly, "you know how much that gets to me."
          I kissed him again, longer this time. He moved in closer, steadily placing his weight on top of me. I moved my lips down to his jaw, then his neck, sucking lightly on the smooth skin.
"Baby I've got to get back," he started but i silenced his words with a flick of my tongue across his nipple. His body quivered as i softly bit down on it, one of his favorite things that i do to him. Eventually after teasing him so more i let him go and cuddled up with one my teddy bears, enjoying the heat and smell that his body left behind.
What do you guys think eh eh? Oh and big shout out to DaredToLoveALover who is a really cool person to talk to and helped inspire the ending<3
