He glances at her, "Baby, we're through."

She stutters out, "But I still love you."

He looks into her eyes, he says, "Please don't cry."

She takes a deep breath, and gasps out, "Goodbye"

He walks away, leaving her there.

She can't help herself, she stops to stare.

Her dreams are gone, they left with him.

Her once bright glow, fades to dim.

She clutches his picture to her chest,

Tonight's the night, she'll forever rest.

Grabs the pills, chugs them down

Coughs up blood, neither white nor brown.

Red as roses, blood like rain

Closes her eyes, ignoring the pain.

Lying down, she takes her last breath.

It's the end of her life, It's time for her death.

He's there at the funeral, heart heavy with guilt.

The love they had, the life they would've built.

"Together, Forever", he'd smile and say.

But no, he couldnt, not today.

Not anymore, never another chance.

Not even a whisper, a look, or a glance.

Within his gut, the pain overbears

They judge him slowly, with thier eyes and thier stares

Because in her casquette lies not one but two.

Three months in, and he never even knew.

And when he looks at in the casquette, he starts to cry.

Because he can see thier life in her crystal blue eyes.

He watches his daughter grow up and live.

The life she took, was not his to give.

He prays to god, to take away the pain,

To take away the hurt, the regret and the shame.

He thinks of everything, It must be a sin..

Because that's the end, of what have been.
