Hiding her face away from thier eyes,

masking her screams, her pain and her cries.

Holding the sadness in the depth of her heart,

as she watches her family crumble apart.

Shoulder the bruises, the cuts and the scars,

Wishing and wishing upon shooting stars,

A life that is better, no lies and no pain.

No hands that will hurt her, handprints, they stain.

No doubt they ask questions, she shrugs them away.

Knows they'll believe her with the lies thay she'll say.

But than night rolls around, the violent wind blows.

The hurt that she feels, and noone will know.

So she waits for the day when nights at it's end,

but she knows that tomorrow, it will happen again.
