18. Unexpected

A/N. Hey hey hey :) I'm really sorry it took me so long to update I just really had an awful month. I was so busy, and still am, but I finally managed to spare some time and write this chapter.

I also wanted to dedicate this chapter to @NessaElise cause she's just sweet, kind, awesome and the list can go on! Thank you girl for everything :)

Kat's POV

Days passed by and the days turned into weeks. I haven't talked to Zac since...then. I was ignoring him, so was he. He didn't even try to reach me. Whenever he saw me, he dissapeared, like he was running away from me on purpouse. Me, on the other hand had no idea if I should be happy about it or not. I mean it was easier that way, that's for sure. I wouldn't be able to handle it if I had to talk to him, or just see his face for a long time. But, it still tore me apawrt whenever he walked away from me. It just proved that he truly has no feeling for me. Never had, never will. Anyway, I've learned to live my life without him. Does it still hurt? Yes. Do I miss him? Every day. Do I hate him? I never did. I just wish I hadn't been so stupid. Now everything has changed.

Finally the bell started ringing, signalling that the chemistry class is over. He's still in that class, but he's not my partner anymore. He sits at the other part of the class, to be exact.

I was walking towards the door when a boy from the basketball team stepped in my way. I didn't remember his name, but I didn't even care. I wanted to side step him, but he blocked my way again. Annoyed I looked up at him, only to see him smirking.

"What the hell do you want?" Well, let's just say I'm not so sweet anymore..

"I've heard you're not together with Zac anymore" He smirked and suddenly grabbed my waist, pulling my body impossibly close to his "..So, what do you sau Kitten? I think we should...hang out.." As soon as I heard this words coming out of his mouth I got furious, but when he started touching me, I snapped. Without a second thought I kicked him hard where sun doesn't shine. With a cry of pain he broke down on his knee.

"Never dare to touch me again cause I swear you're gonna regret it, asshole" I said with gritted teeth.

"Kat Davis. What do you think you're doing?" Great. Just great. I turned around and was Professor Gremer looking at me with narrowed eyes.

"Detention, afterschool" He said simply but I just frowned.

"Like hell I'll go.." Seriously? I got a detention, not him?

"Excuse me?"

"He deserved it. He deserved a much bigger punch, actually, so I'm not going to go to detention because of this ass"

"Who do you think you're talking to?" Mr Gremer asked and I could see his face getting redder and redder. I just wanted to answer him, giving him a piece of my mind but I was interrupted by a person who shouldn't even be here.

"What Miss Davis was refering to is that she doesn't deserve the detention, because she was just defending herself. It was clearly Tom who caused this whole situation" Zac said calmly, stepping between me and Mr Gremer. WHAT ON EARTH IS HE DOING? JUST WHAT WAS HE THINKING. WHAT THE..WHAT THE..WHATTHEHELL?

"I've heard enough. Miss Davis you have detention and that is that."

With that I practically ran out of the classroom, not even bothering to even look at Zac. I heard himmm calling my name, but I didn't stop. No way. I still can't believe what he did. Why did he do it? Just why? Like I need his help. Asshole..

At the end of this awful day I finally convinced myself to go to detention. It was enough trouble for a day. And my future is now the most important thing. I can't srew that up. I need to go as far away from here as possible. Especially after everything. I couldn't bear another year here. It was more than enough. I just want everything to change. New people, new life, somewhere far, where nobody knows me.
