It was cool air outside, it was always quiet at this time. He stood at the stairs that lead into the back yard.

"About earlier." He said.

"It's fine." I said.

"I only want the best for you. However I feel as if I can't carve the roads you decide to take. So I am giving you the tools to do so." He said.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. He handed it to me and gripped his hands tightly on it.

"Don't lose this. It could mean your life." He said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Watch the video I placed on your computer. It will tell you everything." He said.

He placed his hands on my shoulders. He looked me in the eyes. I could see tears in them.

"This might be the last time we get to speak to each other. I want you to know that I love you my son." He said.

The feeling I had was right, something was up. Them returning here today wasn't the only reason they came. I could feel tears beginning to well up inside of myself.

"Just what do you mean "the last time?" What is going on?" I asked him.

"Project fate. It has awakened." He said.

My eyes widened. I saw a red dot glowing on his chest.

"Dad watch out!" I yelled as I pushed him back.

Suddenly a bullet zipped in between us. He looked around and grabbed my hand as we rushed inside the house.

"Go to my room and grab the gun. Also get the file off of your computer by all means necessary. I will get your mother and kuzu. Meet in the basement." He said.

I nodded and ran upstairs. I saw kuzu begin to follow me.

"Renzu what's going on?" She asked.

"You and mom get to the basement quick and lock it!" I yelled back while running up the stairs.

Kuzu could always tell when something was wrong. She didn't ask any other questions as her and my mom ran into the basement and locked it.

I entered my parent's room and went into the closet. I grabbed the gun inside of the shoe box and the bullets in their secret self under their dresser. I then ran into my room and connected my phone to my computer. I saw the file and dragged it to my phone. It read Project Fate but it was taking a lot to transfer it. I looked at my screen and saw a red dot reflecting off it. I jumped back as a bullet went Directly through the window and broke the monitor. The computer was a desktop so it continued to upload. I got under my bed and waited for it to finish.

I placed my head on the floor and listened below me. I could hear multiple footsteps below me. They sounded like boots, definitely not my parents or Kuzu. The transfer completed. At that moment I got a text from Kuzu.

"Meet us out the neighborhood in the park. Don't worry about us just take dad and get here ASAP." It read.

"Alright." I texted back.

I Thought that dad was suppose to be with them? Just where is he? I could hear doors being opened and closed. The house was filling with people looking for us. It wouldn't be wise to go down stairs and start a gunfight. I crawled from under my bed and looked out my window. I could see someone sitting above the roof of my neighbor's house. It was a sniper. Chances of getting out from here is slim. I turned back could hear someone approaching. The footsteps were big and echoed on the hardwood floors. I locked my room before I came in on pure instinct. I backed away towards my desk and sat under the place where my computer. I took out the gun I had and loaded the bullets. I could feel my hands sweating and my breathing growing harder by each step.
