"This is your date." I looked up, straight into the eyes of the guy from the parking lot.

"You!" I stood up knocking my beer over, much to the disgust of Summer, who leaped onto Colbie's lap to keep from getting wet.

"Me," replied the smirking figure.

"Ok... Well I guess you to know each other then..." Summer trailed off.

"How the hell do YOU know him?!" I screamed attracting the attention of several people at the table around us.

"Uh he's my older brothers friend," said Colbie, "Summer met him when she came over to my house. She took one look at him and said he'd be perfect for you."

"Perfect for me!!?? He tired to fucking kill me!!!! You call that perfect???!!"

"What the heck has gotten into you Arcea?" Asked Summer.

"Summer, meet my friend from the parking lot."

"What?!?" Exclaimed Summer.

"Excuse me," said the man in question. "Darling I'm afraid you have me confused with someone else. Come along. I'll buy you a new beer and you can tell me why you think I tried to kill you," He said as he tugged me away from a confused Colbie and a scared looking Summer.

As soon as we were out of ear shot the guy yanked me through a door labeled KEEP OUT EMPLOYEES ONLY. I barely had time adjust before he pushed me up against a wall, towering over me and I finally got a good look at him.

He was tall 6'3 or 6'4 maybe, with black hair, green eyes, and a thin scar running from just above the eyebrow over his left eye, traveling down to just above the mouth. For some reason his eye the scar ran over was fine though.

"Well darling, you told your idiot friends. More mess for me to clean up." He said smirking.

"Who the hell are you, and what the fuck do you want with me???" I screamed, on the verge of crying.

"Language darling! Let's see that's a punishment for mouthing off and another for refusing me. Goodness, your just the little troublemaker aren't you?"

"Please just let me go. You want money? I can give you it! Otherwise I have nothing for you!"

"Oh you do. All those little.... Gifts? You know the ones, they killed your best friend, destroyed an entire town, but hey, you got your parents back together. You got your new life. It was all worth, it wasn't it?"

I went limp. I thought I had left that all behind. I suppressed it and ignored it, and now it was coming back to hit me. "Whatever you want... just take it. I don't care. But please, don't hurt these people. I can't... I won't..." I trembled tears starting to run down my cheeks. He backed up and I sank into a sobbing ball on the floor. Then I heard the words I thought no one would ever say. The words I never thought he'd say, not I a million years. He sat down next to me put his arm around my shoulders, and pulled me towards him so I was crying into his chest. As he stroked my hair with his free hand, he said those words.

"It wasn't your fault."

A/N Ooooh personality shift. Do like this mystery guy so far? Hate him? Let me know. What'd you think of Colbie? He was based after a conversation where it was mentioned that Thor is like a big cuddly teddy bear... Anyway despite my weirdness, did you like the chapters? More coming soon hopefully, but I'm swamped with stuff pretty much till the end of February! So I'll stop rambling now, happy Veterans Day!
