A/N I really have no desire to do this because I am completely exhausted, but I really should, so here you go people it's a new chapter!! You are welcome. Happy Thanksgiving.

"It wasn't your fault."

I'm not proud of it, but at that point I just kind of melted, sobbing, into the arms of the guy who attacked me. As I slowly regained my senses, I started to question his bipolar behavior. One minute taunting me, the next comforting me. I was very confused, especially as I sunk into a dream world, as I often did after crying really hard, this one with singing gummy worms  and a very evil, very British, very sarcastic teddy bear with murderous intentions.

BEEP BEEP BEEP. I jolted up as my alarm clock went of. I sleepily peered around the room, then opened my mouth to scream. Quick as a flash, the person I was screaming because of covered my mouth with a gloved hand.

"Ssshhh darling, I don't have much time. I'll be back, I promise, but for now, I need you to remember." Surprisingly, I wasn't going to scream. Now I knew it was parking lot guy, I just, I don't, didn't care. Not the smartest thing to act upon. Looking back, if I was just a little more cautious, if I had asked who he was before I thought, I could have avoided a whole lot of trouble.

Instead I asked, "Remember what?"

"I know it's painful," he said, "but I need you to look back into your past and remember me. Can you be a good girl and do that for me?" Like an idiot, I nodded. He smirked slightly, then faded into the shadows. The door to my room burst open, and my mom came running in.

"Oh sweetie, oh thank the gods, you're ok, oh honey."  My head started to throb.

"Wha... What happened?"

"Oh honey, you banged your head while riding your bike with your friends. Summer said you weren't wearing your helmet. We were very worried for a while, you were so pale, and you wouldn't wake up."

I managed to muster a small "huh?" Before my mom tucked me back in again.

"You rest. I'm going to make you some Mac and cheese and hot cocoa." I smiled. My mom knew exactly the food that made me feel better when I was sick. Feeling like a kid again, I snuggled down under the covers.

"Thanks Mommy"

"Of course sweetie."

I woke up a while later to find a steaming plate of Mac and cheese and a hot cup of cocoa, with a note that read, Arcea, I have an emergency call at work, I'll be back soon, more food in the oven. Love Mom.

As I started to eat my food I opened my computer, FaceTimed Summer.

"Omg! Arcea, thank God you're ok!"

"Yeah I'm fine, just a little tired. Summer, what the hell happened last night?"

"Well after you left, me and Colbie started to pack up our stuff because we were worried about you. Then I got I text that said 'Pick up Arcea now, she's hurt. Behind the Olympic.' When we ran there, you were in the back alley, pale shaking and convulsing, and barley breathing. We rushed you to the hospital, and called your mom, who got your doctor to take care of it. He said your "special abilities" we're tampered with somehow, and that you just need rest. I told your mom you had hit your head biking, which satisfied her and the doctor, but Arcea what really happened!?!?"

I retold her all that I remembered, up until falling asleep. "I don't remember anything after that. The guy must have tampered with my powers somehow."

"Arcea..." Summer sounded hesitant. "This guy... Listen whoever attacked in the parking lot. He's not Lucas. I met him at Colbie's, he's a really nice guy. I trust him."

"Oh?" I asked. "Then why did I not know his name was Lucas until you just told me? How do you explain what happened in the storage room? Where was he when you found me in the alley?"

"Trust me Arcy. He's a good guy. Trust. You probably hit your your head, and passed out, and he didn't know what to do."

My hung open in shock. I'd never known Summer to be so,... Illogical. "Sum..."

"Listen Arcy, I've got to go. I'll see you tomorrow yeah? Girls day yeah? Bye!"

The screen went black, and there was a little beep to show she had hung up.

What was going on?
