My Guardian Angel Is Trying To Kill Me

Chapter Three

A/N (Hides behind nearest object) Please don't kill me for not updating sooner, but I started a new school and I've had SOOOOO much going on. It's a short chapter, I'm sorry, but I have a bit of Writers Block. I stayed up all night writing this for you guys, so I hope you enjoy it. Pic of Arcea's outfit on the side--------> Anyway...

Chapter Three

Summer took one look at my face and said "Brother home early?"

"Yep. I've being telling people I got in a brawl with an over enthusiastic guy in a bar."

"Omg! That's crazy!" Summer said, doing her acting thing. It wasn't lying for her, it was acting.

"Spread the word Sum, I won." I said dryly.

"Oh relax! Remember, it's the dance tonight!"

"Oh great. Blind date."

"It'll be great, just wait!"

"Yeah, great. Well for now, I'll stick with my skepticism thanks."I said, grabbing my books from my locker.

"Oh wait till you see the guy! He is PERFECT for you.'

"Yeah, we'll see 'bout that.

Of course Summer decided that to get properly ready for the dance, we needed to skip  everything after 5th period. She walked with me into the office and a minute later we were walking out, completely excused from school.

"I still can't  figure out how you do that," she said, a bewildered look on her face.

"Call it a gift," I said dryly. "Either way, were out of school right?"

"Yes. And we have no time to waste! I know I have the perfect dress for you somewhere...."

After hours of dress trying on, makeup, hair, and shoes, Summer finally puts the finishing touch on my makeup, a glimmer of gold powder on my cheeks. I steeped in front of her huge, full length mirror.

"Woah." I looked gorgeous. I had on a blue dress, that hugged my form on top, and flowed out on the bottom. It was the perfect color cobalt that brought out my icy blue eyes. My makeup was minimal, but all gold. There were gold highlights in my Auburn hair, with was parted so it fell in waves down the sides of my face and back. I had on black and gold platform heels that Summer knew I loved.

"You look like a goddess" Summer said in awe. "You'll be in the spotlight tonight.

"Oh come on," I said starting at her short, tight fitting red dress. "You'll have as much attention as I do."

"Well then, oh goddess of beauty, shall we depart?"

"Why of course, goddess of wisdom, let us vacate these echoing halls." Giggling, we skipped down the steps, and got into Summer's car, heading for the dance.

A/N I was going to write more but that seemed like a good place to stop. Sorry for such a short chapter, but I'll try to post more soon. I want to dedicate this Chapter to PhoebeBird13.
