"Seriously, Yerin? Are you lying to me right now?"

I sighed. It's still 8 in the morning but Chanwoo already call me through my neighbor's phone since I lost mine last night. It was pretty embarrassing but how could I do? I called him using my neighbor's phone last time so I assumed he already saved it as 'Yerin's neighbor' in his phone.

"Yah, what will I gain if I'm lying to you? I'm not going to school today. I have to work," I retorted.

I heard him sighed. I know he is worrying about me right now. I just can tell by his voice. Although he is my best friend in school, but I never told him where I stay. I don't want anyone to get into my big problem but..

That guy from last night just came to my place.

I don't know what will happen after this. I just can hope that he will be fine. If my thought is true, I hope the loan shark would never disturb him after this.

"Yerin-ah? Don't stay quiet!" Chanwoo almost yelled on the other line.

"I'm off to work now. Bye."

Then I hang up the call and give it back to my neighbor and thank him.

"If the same number call you, please don't answer it," I said politely and smiled.

He smiled back, "Arasso. Stay safe, Yerin-ah. Don't come home so late."

I nodded my head, "Alright! Thank you so much, Taehyunnie. Annyeong!" I bid him a goodbye as I walked out of my house garage.

I put my earphones on while walking to the usual bus stop I go. But when I need to go through the same street as last night, I stopped. It reminds me of last night.

Where I nearly get raped?

Or get killed?

I sighed. I shouldn't have to be scared like this. I need to be brave and find money as much as I could so that I can settle my dad's debt later. Then, the loan shark will never bother me anymore.

"Okay, Kang Yerin. You should keep on walking otherwise you will be late for your work. Hwaiting!" I whisper to myself.

When I was about to take first my step, I felt someone tapped my shoulder behind my back and of course, it made me jumped a bit from where I was standing.

There is a tall muscular guy with his mask on, covering up his face so that I couldn't recognize him. I'm shaking in fear as soon as he took out his rambo knife. Damn, I'm sure he is one of the loan shark!

"When will you pay back all your dad's debt?!" he growled at me.

I couldn't reply him as I'm shaking so bad right now when he began to moves his rambo knife on my left cheek.

"I'm s-sorry but I d-don't have the money right n-now.."

I sighed in relief when he put his rambo knife back in his pocket pants. However, he still had his scary expression on his face although he is wearing a black mask.

"You have only three days to pay it all AT ONCE. Do you hear me? AT ONCE!"

I forced a nod meanwhile my mind keep thinking WHERE THE HELL AM I GOING TO FIND THE MONEY IN THREE DAYS?

I fell on my knees when the unknown guy walked away from me. First, I'm glad that I'm still alive right now. Second, I don't know what should I do with my dad's debt. Of course, I need to pay it back all AT ONCE like he said, but.. how? I don't have that much of money right now.

My tears welling up from my tear duct as I tried to stand on my feets back. But then I fell down back as my legs felt so weak right now. Gosh, I need to go to work no matter what. Otherwise my boss will cut my salary for this month. Please, lend me some strength.

"Um, hello?"

I heard someone whispered behind me. I'm still trembling in fear so I'm not turning my face to whoever that just greeted me just now. I tried to stand up back, when suddenly I felt a pair of strong arms held me up. I yanked my arms away and wanted to run before he asked, "Why are you look so scared?"

That moment when I realized that the voice sounds very familiar to me. I forced myself to look at him.

"Hi?" he greeted me again and awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck.

I clears my throat in order to get myself comfortable with this unexpected meeting with him. The same guy from last night. Again.

"What are you doing here?"

He smiled brightly to me as he tucked both of his hands in his pocket. Aw, so cool~

"I just sent my hyung's little sister to her daycare center nearby and I thought of you so I decided to visit you here. Are you okay?" he said while he starts walking side by side with me.

I rubbed both of my hands to keep me warm. No, actually, I'm nervous talking to him right now.

"Oh yeah, I see? Me? I'm fine, thank you. Haha, why would you think I'm not?" I said nervously. I hope he didn't see what happened just now.

I heard him chuckles, "To be honest, I saw everything. You looked very scared and I think he was the same guy from last night?"

He paused, "And I'm sorry because I was just look at you guys from afar. I thought he was someone you knew but I'm wrong."

I stiffens on my feet. He also stopped from walking and looked at me in confusion.

"J-jinjja?" I stuttered.

He smiled a bit. "I think so. I can recognize his tattoo that he has on his right arm. I was the one who beat him up last night. Remember?"

I slightly nodded. No way. Just no way! He could've find for the guy who standing in front of me now in order to get revenge after what he did last night. He will be in dangerous. God, what should I do?!

"Hey? Are you really okay? You look pale," his voice startled me.

I faked a smile. "I'm okay. I'm just.. shocked to hear that. I'm sorry," I apologised.

He shook his head. "There's no need though," he think for a moment. "I realized that I'm still don't know what's your name. So.."

I smiled a bit, "Yerin. Just call me Yerin. How about yours?"

"Donghyuk. Kim Donghyuk. Nice to know you, Yerin. You have such a beautiful name," he complimented as he winks at me.

I smiled sheepishly at him before I began to walk again towards the bus stop.

"Where are you going? Don't you go to school?" he asked while following me to the bus stop.

I shook my head, "I do, but I have to go for works today but.. since I'm already late, so I decided to go visit my parents."

"Can I tag along?" he asked.

"Aren't you going to school today? It's already 9AM," I said as I stared him with his school uniform on.

The bus finally came so both of us get in to it.

"I do, but I guess you need a companion to go there?"

I think he is right. I need a friend to go there but... he can't get near to me anymore. It will be endangers him in the future.

"Yes, I do but no thanks. See you later, Donghyuk. Bye!" I rushed as I get off from the bus without waiting for him to say anything.

Luckily, I was on time when the bus stop at the third destination to drop the passengers.

"Hey, Yerin! Wait!"

I can't let him know anything about me. I also can't drag him into my big problem. Aish.. You are too nice to believe random people that you barely know. Hm.

What should I do?
