Recap: “Major ego burn huh Chase?” Alison asked. All the laughter stopped; as though her presence sucked away all the joy in the room.

“What are you doing here Ali?” Madison barked

“I live here remember” Ali retorted

“ ok can we save this one for later please the guest will start to arrive in like five minutes, so everyone who needs to change do so now” Callie ordered she was not about to let Ali or Mads ruin her party.

Chase p.o.v

            I bolted to my room and heard the door click behind me. I flipped onto the bed and drifted to sleep. My thoughts filled with worries about Nova, but I had a feeling I would see her to night and it would be nothing but trouble. I smiled.

Nova p.o.v

            “I drive” I shouted

“Fine, but I get the radio” Chris laughed

“Never my car my radio”

“That is cold Nova that is cold”

“Yeah I’ve been called a lot worse” I giggled. The car stuttered and then the engine revved to life. Chris hopped into the passenger side and reached for the radio. I growled, and he backed off

“Fine you win” he laughed. Huh? No one ever laughed at my growl before Chris is an odd one that’s for sure.

“So do you know the address to the party” I asked

“Yea got it right here”

“Great then we’ll head there after we stop” I smiled

“Why are we stopping” he asked his eye brow arched

“Umm have you seen my clothes I am changing” I looked down at my tear stained ‘modified’ paramour tee, my leather biker jacket, and acid wash jeans. I had picked out something I would wear to the bar for this party I sure as hell was not showing up in this. I needed my revenge against Chase and Trisha; no one makes me cry ever!

“You are such a girl”

“What is that supposed to mean?”

“Never mind” he laughed

            Ten minutes later we pulled up to my crappy house and I sighed again. I have so much cash and I live in a two story rental. The paint was peeling and the roof leaked occasionally isn’t that about a bitch!

            “Ok you can come in or wait outside” I said

“Thanks, I’d love to see your house” He smiled

“It’s not much but ok” I mumbled then slammed my door shut. The front door was unlocked when I got there Lucy must be home.

“Hey mom I’m home and I brought a friend” I emphasized she was down the stair before Chris even walked in.

“Helllloooo” mom cooed

“Hi Mrs. Night names Chris”

“Well nice to meet you call me Lucy” Lucy wriggled her eyebrows at me

“Lucy no” I stated

“Fine I’ll be in the kitchen” she pouted

“Won’t be here long just going to change then head to a party ‘Kay” I said. I ran up the stairs and changed into a blue off the shoulder top and black shorts. This looked fine for my revenge I mean the party.  I walked down the stair and watched as Chris’s jaw dropped. Oh yeah this outfit was perfect.

“Bye Lucy, be back later” I called

“Okay Nova just don’t get into any trouble” she laughed. We both know that was inevitable and I laughed too.

“Chris common or I’ll leave you” I said. He ran after me and took the keys.

“I drive this time”

“Fine” I smiled. We were off to a party in who knew what part of town.
