Okay, I've been gone for a while but hot dang do I have some things to say.
Okay let me just give you some pro/cons of my season.
• Dear section leaders, you have to help the people in your section sometimes, SHOCKER RIGHT?
•you also have to leave your day before you got to band in your backpack okay. It makes everyone's life so much easier when their leader is in a good mood okay, if not you could cause so much stress on new member especially.
• BAND SHOULD EQUAL PARTS FUN AND SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! You can have fun and be happy while setting drill! You're with your ohana! Don't worry be happy! Get people hype! I don't care if you're a freshmen or a senior, run back to your set! Gush' those Go's! HAVE FUN! But don't be out of control, you need to get get some work done!
• when the director says don't talk, please don't talk. They're under so much stress and worry that you don't know about and a band talking and not listening just adds to that.
• LEAVE IT ALL ON THE FIELD. If you're at a competition and you didn't do your absolute best, the best of your ability. Then yes you are letting the band down.
• Dear god section leader if your school does playing tests on the show music and throw someone's flip folder on the ground and walk away durning someone else's playing test. If you do that I hope your director slaps you. That's rude and just plan crappy to do to your section.
And yes I practice what I preach
• learn your music/guard work. Don't expect to get good scores of you don't know youR work/notes.
• HAVE FUN!!! YOU CANT SAY THAT ENOUGH!
Okay that's the end of my rant for now...
