Marry walked along the long country road for maybe an hour or until her feet began to ache, she was worn out she had a very exhausting day, she had been in a car accident after all and was still in shock after seeing Adams lifeless body. She nearly collapsed as she went to sit down just a foot or two off the side of the road she tucked the metal cd case away under her shirt and waistband of her pants. She closed her eyes and before she knew it she was asleep. It was sunrise when she was awoken by a mans voice, "hey lady are you ok?". Marry opened her eyes and saw a middle aged man that wore a straw hat and overalls with some snake skin leather boots, he must be a farmer she thought."I was in a car accident, a hit and run and theres a" she looked down and then continued "theres man dead just a few miles back" she took a deep breath and spoke again "could you please give me a ride to Trenton, we need to send police to the scene!!". The man reached out his hand to help marry up. "A hit and run and theres someone dead? I was just coming from Trenton had to go set up a bank account, I just moved to meadow, but this sounds serious if someones dead hop on in ma'm I'll give you a ride" he said. "Thank you so much your a life saver" marry said trying to hide the fact she had a metal case in her pants as she walked to the mans nice F150. The man started the engine and they were off towards trenton maybe a 15 minute car ride. Marry had felt so relieved. The man put on some country music and 10 minutes later they had passed the Welcome to Trenton sign. Another mile and they arrived at the police station. Marry got out and the man rolled down the window, "thank you so much, really" she said. "No problem Marry" he said as he rolled up the window and drove away back the way they had came. Theres was no one outside the police building so she decided to hide the disk in one of the many bushes that bordered the parking lot, deciding to keep the key in her pocket she headed for the front door of the building when a question had appeared in her head. How did he know my name? I never told him my name, and he said he just moved here he cant know me and I certainly don't know him. She pushed open one of the big heavy doors and walked up to the front desk where a younger officer sat. With a half smile on his face he asked "How can I assist you ma'm?". "Sir theres been an accident, a hit a run a man named Adam was driving I was in the passenger seat and we were hit by this truck we rolled down this steep shoulder into the woods, its right near the fifteenth mile marker coming towards trenton" she took a breath and continued " "I see" he said. The officer showing no sympathy for Marry gave her a clip board, "I just need you to fill out this form the best you can and then I can begin my Investigation." said the officer. "In the mean time I'll call in the accident see if anyones already been out there what kind of car were you and this Adam in?" he asked. "Its a red mustang, maybe like late 60s" she said quickly without even looking up. As she was finishing up the form the officer made his call quietly as if not wanting marry to hear. "All done" she said handing the officer the form."Well ma'm no accident has been reported yet for a old red mustang so why don't you take a ride with me down to the scene and we"ll check it out" He motioned her to follow him and they walked out the front door down the steps. "My cars out back" he said "just wait right here I'll pull it around." As soon as he was around the other side of the building marry sprinted into the parking lot to the bush where she had left the disk but it wasn't there. She checked the surrounding bushes, but it was no use the disk just wasn't there.
