It must had been hours since the accident because it was sunset, Marry had awaken almost on top of Adam the car had landed on the drivers side, down the shoulder of the road just into the woods. Everything was all over, seats were ripped and glass broken the old mustang was an absolute wreck inside and out. Marry slowly started to move her arms and legs checking to see if anything was broken. To her relief nothing was and she only had a few minor cuts, and a headache. She turned to Adam who was slumped up against the drivers door facing the other way, "hey Adam" she said gently poking at him with her foot. No response. "Adam wake up" she said again poking him a little harder this time. At this point Marry had taken her seatbelt off, with her right foot on the center console and her left foot on adams seat she crouched down to get a closer look. She put two fingers to his neck to check for a pulse. Nothing not even a single beat. Marry froze, he's dead was all she can think. Finally after a few moments she started to climb up out of the top of the car (the passenger door). She walked up the steep shoulder maybe 12 feet high. Nothing was there. Not even any debris from the accident. How can this be she thought, this is just bizarre what the hell have I gotten myself into?. She looked to her left and saw a sign that read Trenton 15 miles. She grabbed her head as it began to throb. He's dead, she thought again. Despite her migraine Marry remembered the disk. She slid back down the shoulder back to the car, it was dark now with only a street light every mile or so to light the road. She climbed back to the top to of the car and peaked inside. She could barely make out anything, so she waited briefly for her eyes to adjust and that's when she saw it. The silver colored cd case was near adams feet. I'll just grab it quick and get out she thought. She slowly slipped down inside the car, positioned her feet like before once more and grabbed the metal box. She started for the top of the car when she remembered something else, the key. She looked around but couldn't spot the key anywhere, she searched for at least 15 minutes all along Adams lifeless body was just a foot away from her at all times. By now she had made her way to the back seat where she finally found the key under some ripped cushion. A worn out marry climbed back through to front and out of the top of the car she climbed down and stood still for a moment. She looked down at the box and key in her hand, and opened it. Inside was a CD just like Adam had said after examining it for a moment she shut the box and locked it back and stuffed the key in her pocket. She turned around and looked at the sign she had saw earlier. 15 Miles from Trenton that'll take me hours to walk she thought, ever since that highway was built seeing a car around here is something rare, at least till you get to Trenton one of the larger cities of NC. "This is just great" she yelled. Stranded all marry could do was start the long 15 mile walk she had ahead of her, hoping that by chance someone would drive by, and if someone by chance drove by that they would stop and by chance be willing to give her a ride.
