The officer had pulled around to the front of the building and marry feeling defeated having no idea where the disk was and what was going on got in the crown vic cop car and they were off. "Its just about 15 minutes down the road" Marry said to the officer. "We'll be there in 5 minutes then" he said, he turned on his lights and pushed heavily on the gas, they were flying down the country road. The officer was saying something to Marry but she wasn't listening, all she could about was the disk, where had it gone? Who would have taken it?. These questions rattled her brain for what seemed like forever but in reality was a only a few mins, her train of thought was interrupted because the car had come to a stop she looked out her window and saw the 15 mile marker. "Theres no debris here in the road, are you sure this is it?" the officer asked confused. "This is it, theres that sign" she said pointing out her window."The car should be just down that shoulder" she said pointing again. "Stay here I'll go take a look" said the officer. Marry nodded in agreement not wanting to see the car or adams lifeless body again. Marry closed her eyes and opened them a few times just trying to see if she was dreaming or if this really was reality, she wished it was a dream but it wasn't a dream at all it was indeed reality. The officer had came back to the car and opened the door, "marry" he began, "marry theres no car down that shoulder theres no debris from the car, no skid marks nothing". Marry looked at the officer in complete disbelief, "your kidding me right?" she asked. Before the officer had time to answer her question she immediately got out of the car and walked over to side of the road to look down the shoulder for the old red mustang. Marry had froze, there was no mustang, no debris or anything, she knew this was the spot but she couldn't understand what exactly was going on. With marry still frozen with disbelief the officer walked over and put his hand on her shoulder. "Marry, theres no way there was any accident here, there is no proof of it whatsoever" he said. Great he doesn't believe me she thought, she turned around and faced the officer with tears in her eyes. "Look this man named Adam came into the diner I work at all beaten up, he told me there was something important we needed to discuss but that we needed to leave right then so being bored with my daily routine, taking a risk, I said yes and we took off" she paused and took a deep breath looking the officer right in the eyes and began again. "He had this briefcase he told me to open it, inside was the unbreakable metal cd box, inside that was a disk, he was about to tell me what was on it right when we got hit, when i woke up he was dead so i grabbed the metal cd box and started walking towards Trenton till I fell asleep, I was picked up by some stranger and dropped off at the police station, and the rest well you kinda know" said Marry, and that's when she remembered the key!.
