Finally, we arrived at my most favorite place in the world. Harry parked the car near the fence line, while gazing around in awe of the surroundings. We both unfastened our seat belts and exited out of his vehicle. Instantly, my nose caught the heavenly scent of dirt and hay. Alright to some that might sound weird, but to me… I just felt like I was in heaven. Harry came over by my side as I stood with my hands on my hips, admiring the farm. Both of us exchanged glances when I heard my Aunt coming out of the house.

“Charlie! My darling niece, get your beautiful self over here to hug your aunt!” She practically screamed at the top of her lungs as she descended down the stair steps leading to the house. My aunt was a rather loud and hilarious being. She was short, her head barely passing my shoulders, had curly blonde hair tied up in a bun and had an incredible huge smile. Today she wore her usual worn out jeans, colorful blouse, and work boots. She’s in her mid-forties, but looked absolutely stunning for her age. I limped over to her, as she pulled me in for a tight hug.

“Look at you gorgeous!” she started saying, “And why are you limping? Charlotte Marie, what have you done to yourself now?! And who is this strapping young gentleman behind you?”

I looked behind me, completely forgetting that Harry was here. I was about to introduce him, but he cut me off saying, “I’m Harry, it’s a pleasure to meet you!” My aunt caught him by surprise and swiftly gave him a tight hug as well.

“No need to be formal! Any friend of Charlie’s, especially males, is considered family!” she beamed at him. I rolled my eyes and shook my head, embarrassed, as Harry put on a huge smile.

“By the way, I’m Jackie.” My aunt finally said. At this point I was just pushing gravel along the ground with my boots as I impatiently waited to go see Aero.

“Aunt Jackie I’m gonna go ove-“ Once again, getting cut off, my Aunt said, “Not so fast! You still haven’t told me what you’ve done to your bloody foot!” she stammered.

“Kind of a long story, but either way, it’s just a sprain.” I said smoothly, trying not to make it a big deal.

My aunt shook her head in disapproval and replied, “Oh my dear, you are a walking disaster. Harry you would not believe how clumsy she is.”

He laughed loudly and obnoxiously said, “Trust me, I know. I’ve experienced her clumsiness firsthand quite a few times now.”

I groaned a bit and finally asked my aunt, “Where’s Uncle Rick?”
