I wait for the day,

Where I can come out and be free,

Where I don't have to hide my body,

Where I don't get screamed at,

Where I don't have to cut

Where I don't have to burn.

But it's too far away.

I wait for the day,

Where I can finally be happy again,

Where I don't have to lie,

Where I don't have to create a mask,

Where I don't need to sleep every minute,

Where I don't have to starve.

But it's coming too slow.

I wait for the day,

Where I can have a healthy mind,

Where I don't fail,

Where I don't cry myself to sleep,

Where I don't need to be mean,

Where I don't have to be silent.

But it's slowly coming faster.

I wait for the day,

Where I can fly,

Where I don't need a high,

Where I don't need to be a thorn,

Where I don't throw up every meal,

Where I don't have to listen to the voices.

But it's almost here.

I wait for the day,

Where I can cry for joy,

Where I don't need to give in,

Where I don't give up,

Where I don't coward behind,

Where I don't have to hide my face.

The day's finally here.

I approached the day,

Where I'm free again,

Where I'm happy again,

Where I have a healthy mind,

Where I can fly,

Where I can cry for joy.

There was light and now I see you crying.

Don't be sad,

Someday you can join,

Someday you will see the light,

Someday you will be happy again,

Someday you will see what I see,

Someday you will fly too.

Come join me with freedom.
