Chapter 24: The Snake That Was Too Strong

“Of course she did.” I said with a sigh.   

I lent against the tree Naruto and I stood on, arms crossed.

“You idiots run away you don’t know what you’re up against.” Sasuke shouted at us. What had got him so scared? My eyes widened when a name and only that name stuck in my head. Orochimaru. As much as I knew getting everyone away from here would be the best option, I knew that I wouldn’t be possible. Plus how else would I test my newly given power. A smile appeared on my face.

“So Naruto you manage to escape my little friend.” she said...wait Orochimaru’s a he.

“Tell me. How was he little?” I asked as a rhetorical question. He laughed.

“Okay okay, I don’t know what’s going on here but you been picking on my friends and I don’t like that. So you better go on and slither back into your hole before I make a pair on shoes out of you.” Naruto yelled pointing at him. Sasuke tensed

“I’ll take the shoes if no one what’s them.” Simran said sarcastically. Sasuke loosened up a tad.

“You can have it.” Sasuke yelled. Everyone’s face looked shocked, my eye narrowed Sasuke what are you doing now? Sasuke slowly reached into is Ninja pouch and grabbed the scroll out. “The scroll right, that’s what you want.” He said tossing it hand to hand. “Take it and leave us in peace.” Naruto’s jaw dropped, Sakura’s and I eyes widened from shock and Simran tilted her head in confusion.

“Sasuke...” Naruto begun to whine. “You’re just going to let ‘em have the scroll?! You-!” I raised my hand to silence Naruto.

“Very sensible. Sometimes the helpless pray have to distract the predator with something even more precious.” Orochimaru hissed. Narrowing my eyes again I got ready to move.

“Take it.” He said throwing the scroll. I disappeared reappearing to catch the scroll. I stared to walk towards Sasuke, my footsteps clanking against the tree.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING STEPH?! THIS IS NO TIME TO ACT LIKE THE DAM HERO!” Sasuke yelled at me. “LISTEN TO ME.” Tsk I punched him across the face. He lost footing and took a couple of steps back to re gain his balance. I looked up at Naruto he was fuming with anger. May as well let him, I he him a slight nod that he would only see.

Naruto jumped down to the branch I was on and punched Sasuke sending Sasuke so far back he had to swing on to another branch. “What the hell you two!” Sakura yelled.

“I my not know the password, but at least I know who I am!” Naruto yelled at him still angry as even if not more so I’m his harsh words that I knew was coming next.

“What do you mean it him, don’t be so stupid.” Sakura yelled.

“Sakura, shut up.” I said sending daggers her way.

“It’s me you loser!” Sasuke yelled

“Lair. Lair you may look and sound just like him but you’re not to Sasuke I know. When did you become such a wimp?! You keep telling me that I don’t understand but I do, you’ve cocked, that’s it!”

Orochimaru laughed and got up. “Sad but true. As far the scroll I can just kill you and take it.”

Naruto clenched his teeth. And ran for Orochimaru, kunai in hand but was blown back by the strong wind of the summoning jutsu. The giant snake smashed to tree causing me to jump beside Sasuke.
