The Life She Never Dreamed Of

Chapter Three - Will This Really Work Out

      Not everything is as easy as it seems. Three weeks into summer and Ally has already gotten into six fights with her boyfriend, only gotten through less than a quarter of her summer work, and James keeps popping up in her mind. What on earth will she do.

      Ally does her best to stay positive but her depression is getting to her. She knew by the time Brian got back the cuts would heal, but being a good girlfriend she told him eventually anyways.

      He always got angry and asked her why. At one point he said he cut but in her eyes if your only scar is less than the with of your index finger and barely visable then you're a pussy when it comes to cutting, but that's just her opinion. She knew he never really cut anyways.

      She rubbed the scars and looked at the picture of her uncle and the picture of James at the semi-formal. God he was so good looking that night I wish he was my date not Brian, she thought. Then she sighed, "Am I really falling for James?" Only time will tell.

      Then she remembers James is coming over in a couple weeks and she relaxes and gets on CSGO for the heck of it.

      Her friends call her on Skype and they play a few matches and call it a day.

      It's now 8pm and she's debating if she should call Brian or James. She told Brian she'd try and call, but she just wasn't in the mood. She didn't need another reason to cut. So instead she calls up James and he picks up and she cries slightly just because she was so happy for some reason not even she knew why.

      After an hour of talking Skype started going off and it was Brian seeing that her and James were both on at the same time and he wasn't too happy. Niether was she because he assumed they were talking when, even though they were, she could have been with someone else or alone the whole time.

       James says, "Just leave it be let him be mad he isn't going to do anything if I have anything to say about it." She blushes and says, "Okay James." She curses herself in her mind for only coming up with that to say.

      Ally wakes up to a few angry texts from Brian. She texts him back and gets a text saying, We're done. She cries slightly and fights for the next few hours letting him blame her while she promises to change to who she was before like he wants her too. That proves to be impossible because she thinks she is still the same person.

      After hours of fighting he calms down says sorry then leaves. Not a surprise for her anymore.

      James calls up on Skype and they talk and he notices red on her arms and he questions her. Little does she know he noticed the cuts as school and knew that she cut long before that moment.

      She just says nothing, but persistence is key and he won her over to tell him. He was understanding and promised to see her the next day. She smiled and got off looking at the picture of her uncle hoping she's doing what he would have wanted.

      She watches some T.V and then goes to bed with the thoughts of James in her head.
