The Life She Never Dreamed Of

Chapter Eight- What is This Feeling

Ever since homecoming and ignoring James, Ally had a wierd feeling. She has hope. She knows it, but how long will it last. She keeps trying and keeps getting knocked down.

***Two weeks after Homecoming***

Ally has gotten close with Ben and sees that he doesn't seem to like Vanessa. They sit on the bus together and talk all the time. He's later to class just to walk her to hers and he hugs her and let's her wear his hoodie. She's even taken it home annnd maybe slept in it a couple times but it's so comfy she had to. She sleeps curls up next to him on the bus too.

Ally begins to wonder, please tell me in not dreaming because I think I've fallen for him. She shakes the thought and gets on with her school day.

*****Week before Thanksgiving*****

"Last week SOMEONE was supposed to meet me for club, but NOOOOOOO. So I was stuck third wheeling", Ally says complaining to Sam on the bus. "I heard it was cancelled I'm SOOORRYYY", Ben explains. Ally rolls her eyes and they all laugh.

As they get off the bus Ally sits in confusion not know what she feels towards him. Is it a crush? Will it pass? Is this love? Ally gets depressed at the thought of it being love. She doesn't want to be hurt again knowing it'll hurt so much more than before with Brian because this will really be love. She pushes the thought away and goes home.

*****Monday after Thanksgiving****

Ally gets on the bus and wasn't all to happy due to her depression getting to her and almost too tempted to kill herself the night before. Despite everything something kept her going foward and that something was really someone. She realized she loves Ben and will try her best to stay alive for as long as he takes to ask her out.

Ally thinks to herself, I hope this isn't something dumb.... if he doesn't ask me out by Friday during club then I might not even live...it's just too hard... But as Ally gets rid of the thought Ben already slid into the seat and she had her head on his shoulder. She gets butterflies and drifts off to sleep.

Ally woke up to find Ben kindly waking her up and a few minutes later they get off the bus.

They drop their stuff off with her friends and they go walk around the perimeter of the school building and talk like they normally do. It was cold being in North Carolina and the end of November. She was wearing his hoodie and pants while he wore shorts and no hoodie. She offered his hoodie, but refused as he was shivering.

A few minutes later they went quiet and walked around the auditorium. They got to one spot and he walked in front of her asking for a hug. She was confused and awkwardly did. He starts saying that's she's beautiful and the funniest person she has ever met. Ally was clueless and nervous. That all changed because as soon as he asked to go out with her she took no time saying yes and kissing him on the lips.

That day at 6:50 in the goddam morning with a beautiful sunrise and in the cold she'll never realize how much that day will change her life.
