You said always
That that would be our promise
We say it all the time
In almost a rhythmic time
I soon grew ill
And our always became still
I would say it over and over
Always
You never said it back
And soon my heart faded to black
Our promise was broken
By this ungodly token
You say you could stand it no longer
My emotions grew ever somber
For I was the one who was ill
And yet our always was still
Never again did we say our promise
Never again did we say our always
I still will remember when
It was so easy to say it then
Our always has been broken
I will say it one last time
To finally end the rhyme
