Jenna's P.O.V
Dorothy hands me a key and I follow Sean to Jonas house in silence. After ten minutes, he stops outside a door and walks straight in, holding it open for me after him. We then climb up a set of stairs to the second floor and walk along a small hallway for a bit. Sean suddenly stops and faces a door.
"This one's yours." He says simply. I use the key Dorothy gave me and open the door to reveal a large room with a double bed at the side, a vanity table against the other wall and a large bookcase next to it. Other than that, the room is pretty empty. "So the market opens on Sundays; you can use the money you get from your job when we get it sorted out to furnish it and buy clothes and stuff." We stand in yet more silence before Sean walks over to the bed and puts his head in his hands. I follow him and sit down next to him. "Jenna, I'm sorry for what I said in the lift. It was wrong of me and I shouldn't have said it. It came out wrong... you just... I guess you learn to love life when you can't have it anymore." I look into his eyes and he looks away.
It hurts.
"Uh... it's okay. But, Sean?" I mutter awkwardly. I was really mad before, but his explanation make so much sense; 'you learn to love life when you can't have it anymore,' God, he should be a poet.
"Yeah?" he replies in a pained voice, looking down at me. I make a gesture with my hands, like 'what's up', because I don't know how to word it. I've known him for a day, less.
"This was Daniel's room..." he mumbles a second later when he understands my hand movements. Daniel- his brother.
"Oh." I sigh. Not knowing what else to do, I just fumble with my hands in my lap, waiting for something to say to come to mind. Nope, nothing. "My room's next door." He says after a few minutes, like it will answer all the questions in my head. Then it hits me, Blue Eyes will be one room away from me.
"Oh." I whisper, lamely as before.
"Yeah." He stands up, accidently brushing his hand against mine as he gets up. "You should get some sleep, I'll come get you when I hear from Matt."
"Okay." I pull myself up off the matress and follow him over to the door, not sure what to do. "Uh... bye."
"Bye." He leaves and I watch him walk to the door across from mine and close the door. I close my own door, then I walk over to the bed and sit down again, gazing around the room I'll be staying in till I've lived out the life I wished away on earth.
You screwed up, and all you have to show for it is an empty bookcase and a vanity desk.
Suddenly, an old white phone I didn't even know was there starts ringing loudly on the desk. I stand up and answer it uncertainly.
"Hello?" I mumble.
"Hey, this is Tyler. This Jenna?" Ty's familiar voice pours through the end of the line in a way which makes it seem like he uses the telephone all the time.
"Uh, yeah." I reply, obviously relaxed now i know who it is.
"Hey! Is Sean there? He's not picking up." He asks, but I catch a slight lie in his words. I shake my head at myself; why would he lie about something like that?
"No, he's in his room." I involuntarily look over at my closed door, wishing it was open... and that Sean was standing in it.
"Cool. You wouldn't mind goin' over there and tellin him to call me, would ya? I heard you got Daniel's old room." He says, his voice smooth like caramel. I can't help but wonder how he knows that I got Daniel's room.
"Okay, sure." I shrug, even though no one's there.
"Thanks, PLT." I fiddle with the white wire coming from the end of the receiver. I've never used an old telephone.
"PLT?" I question, chuckling under my breath.
"Pretty Little Thing." I laugh out loud- he's given me a nickname already?
"Okay, I'll go see Sean."
"Awesome."

I hang up the phone and walk over to the vanity table. Looking in the mirror, I gasp at my horrifying appearance. My hair is knotted and tangled, and my eyes are puffy from crying. I open a draw and find a hairbrush, thank God, and run it through my hair. I go into the bathroom and splash some water on my face. It'll have to do, since Sean said the market was tomorrow and I have no money anyway. I open the door and close it behind me, and then take a couple of steps to the door I saw Sean go into. I knock a couple of times, but no one answers, so I try the door handle. It opens easily, so I let myself in and look around.

"Sean? It's Jenna." I call, but I don't get a reply, so I open the door fully. The room is painted a dark blue on all walls, but they're all completely bare- no painting, posters, pictures, cobwebs. Nothing.
His bed is messed up, and there is a small black rug on the floor. Clothes are draped over a chair at a table and there are boxes under the bed. Other than that, the room is pretty empty.
Then I hear voices.
"-Just so... so annoying. And I don't understand her, but she's amazing. I don't even frickin' know her!... I know, I know. Listen, Ty, calm down... have you seen her eyes? I know... no, I'm not falling in love again... shut the fuck up!"
I look into the bathroom and find Sean sitting on the edge of the bath with a phone in his hand.
"No... I know, I shouldn't be leading her on... she's just so... exactly!... I love it, I love her name, I love her face, her hair... I know, I should go do something manly..." he stands up and puts the phone down. It takes me a minute to realise I'm in his room and he will know I'm here if I don't MOVE NOW!
I take large strides to the door, hoping he doesn't see me.
"Jenna?" ah, shit.
"Hi, Sean."
"What are you doing here?" I slowly turn around and look at Sean. He has changed into a tight fitting black T-shirt and dark jeans.
"I, uh..." wow, he looks good in a tight fitting shirt... "Uh, Tyler called and he said to tell you to call him."
"I've been on the phone with him for at least twenty minutes. When did he call?"
"Like, ten minutes ago."
"How long have you been here?"
"I only just got here, and the door was unlocked, so I came in..."
"Never come in my room without me knowing again, Jenna. Ever." he says, alarmed. His tone sends a shiver through my spine and I have to try hard not to pull my face into a frown.
"Sorry." I mumble. "I knocked and you didn't answer. And when Tyler called he sounded pretty urgent."
"That makes no sense; I've been on the phone with him for a while." Sean mutters in almost a question, but irritated.
"Oh, maybe it was just a mistake then." I shrug
"Yeah, maybe."
