Amy had to pick up her pace in an attempt to catch up with Sherlock. She had no idea were they were going and was interested on how Sherlock figured it out, but Sherlock hadn't said a word. Not too far behind them John was struggling to keep up. Amy glanced back at him before she once again focused her attention back at Sherlock, who was still moving forward at an alarming pace.
"Sherlock," John huffed, "wait up!"
Amy watched as Sherlock paused and turned back towards John and her before sighing, "If you only had longer legs John, then your strides would be larger and we wouldn't have to stop."
"Never mind about that," John hissed, "I just want to know where the hell we are going."
Sherlock's smile faded as he looked over towards the very interested Amy. He leaned in a whispered something Amy didn't catch into John's ear.
John flushed and fumed, "There is no way you're taking this young girl there, Sherlock. Are you out of your mind?"
Amy slumped back slightly, waiting for Sherlock's reply. Sherlock didn't reply though, he simply looked back at Amy with a thoughtful look. Amy studied his face, it resembled one of a conflicted man. Finally, Sherlock nodded slightly and started to continue his way towards his mystery location.
"Sorry Amy." John grunted, "Let's go back to the flat."
Amy didn't argue, even though she wanted to. While Sherlock was solving a case, she was going to be sipping bitter tea with John. Amy reasoned to herself that she was lucky that she even got to participate in solving the case at all, but she still felt disappointed.
---------------------------------------------------------------
John watched as Amy's face fell. He felt bad for ruining the case for her, but it was for the best, really. Plus there was nothing John could do, Amy was practically their responsibility now and letting her go with Sherlock was completely inappropriate and mental.
"How about we go see Molly instead of going back to the flat?" John asked, the guilt finally winning him over.
John knew that Amy had been interested in visiting Molly. He was no Sherlock, but John saw the way Amy's eyebrows perked up when Molly was mentioned. He decided that an interesting new face would be entertaining enough.
John looked over towards Amy; she had a small smile growing on her face.
"That sound nice?" John beamed.
He started to make his way towards St. Bartholomew's; watching to make sure Amy was close behind.
------------------------------------------------------
Amy calmly walked behind John as they made their way down the streets of London. He was right when he guessed that she would be interested in seeing Molly. Plenty of times before had Sherlock and John come back from the hospital with Molly in their conversation. This, of course, spiked Amy's interest.
Walking into the hospital, Amy's mind was buzzing with all the new information around her. Finally, they came to the door labeled "Morgue."
"This is it." John pointed.
But Amy didn't need telling she was already through the door. Inside the morgue Amy was greeted with the smell of dead bodies and a small woman.
Single, desperate, owner of a cat, and almost whimsical. Amy knew all these things about Molly with one glance. But nevertheless, Amy was still very interested about meeting her. Amy knew that Sherlock didn't waste his time with stupid people, so if he went to Molly for information about corpses that meant that Molly was no stupid person.
"Hello John. Sherlock." Molly started as she turned around, only to be surprised by Amy and John instead of Sherlock.
"Molly, this is Amy." John introduced.
From what Amy could observe, Molly was pleasantly surprised about meeting her. Sherlock had been talking about Amy at work apparently. Probably the simple information, Amy's name and back ground, maybe more. None of it mattered to Amy though.
Molly beamed "Amy, I've..."
"Heard so much about me." Amy interrupted.
Amy observed Molly's surprised face. It seemed a if Molly was expecting a remark like that but at the same time caught off guard. Sherlock must have told her something about Amy's intellect.
Molly stood up straighter and laughed, "Sherlock..."
"Said she could do that"
Molly looked up at Amy, assuming it was her who interrupted again. But she was wrong. Amy's head pivoted around and was greeted with a smirking Sherlock.
------------------------------------------------------------
"Did you find anything?" John asked Sherlock.
"No, but now I know where to look John." Sherlock remarked, "It's time to search for the Woman."
