Kyoko began her push ups, not paying attention to the world around her; she listened to her music, trying to tune out all the stress that had filled her since she got back last week. Okamisan smiled when she walked past her room, hearing the music and labored grunting coming from the hard working young woman. Leaving her about her own business Okamisan finishes her own; Kyoko finishes her first set of push ups and immediately goes into her planking, relaxing her stiff muscles before tensing them up again. There's a change in her playlist and it shocks her, "When did I put that in there?"
Steal My girl was blaring from her speakers and she just stared at it, wondering if that song magically added itself to her playlist. The thought makes her excited, a fairy gave me music! A fairy put music in my playlist! The song ends and she starts her crunches, gritting her teeth at the soreness coming on in her abdomen, but she soldiers on. Taisho passes by her apartment and turns around, knocking on the door he smiles at her answer, "Yes? Do you need help?! Let me get my Kimono!"
She opens the door, tying the last ribbon and he stares at her in shock, "How did you-"
"No idea."
They walk down the steps and Kyoko hops into her sandals, before grabbing the most recent finished order and taking it to the customers, "Wow, she never misses a beat does she?"
Okamisan and Taisho look at the owner of the voice, seeing that he's become quite the regular, "No she doesn't, Yashiro-kun, let's hope she never changes."
He nods, "Here's to that."
They smile at the friend that they've found in him, Yashiro comes every Wednesday at lunch and Ren goes to the Takarada Mansion, giving each other a break from...well each other, so they didn't end up at each other's throats arguing about Ren's eating habits. He knew that if he left Ren in the capable hands of Sebastian he would eat properly, whether he liked it or not. Kyoko brought another order to Taisho, setting down the ticket before him, "One small bowl of Miso-soup and three fresh spring rolls."
"Hello, Kyoko-chan!"
"Hello, Yashiro-san!"
She acknowledged his existence, but didn't truly register the situation until after he left the restaurant, "Wait, why was he here!?"
Okamisan laughs and explains, all the while Kyoko's face changes from shock to that of understanding and mischief, the light in her eyes screaming that she has more teasing material. They laugh at the young woman they look at as their own and the bell rings, indicating that somebody has entered the family restaurant, "Welcome to Darumaya!"
The family who had entered smiled at the well mannered young woman and a small child freaked out, "No way! It's Kyoko!"
Kyoko smiles and crouches down to eye level with the child, "And who might you be?"
"I'm Kyosuke!"
The little boy grins at her, "Well, Kyosuke, I guess you already know who I am," she blushes in spite of herself, "But, I'm Kyoko."
He laughs and his parents watch the little interaction with wide eyes and bright smiles, "Can I call you Kyoko-nee?!"
She nods, "Of course you can, as long as you come and visit again?"
He nods enthusiastically, "Can I Otou-san? Can I?!"
His father nods, "We'll come back next Friday."
"Yay!"
Kyoko leads them to their table and leaves them with a warm meal shortly afterward; they left after an hour and Kyosuke called to Kyoko just before the door closed, "See you next week, Kyoko-nee!"
She waves at the young boy and turns to her landlords, "I need to head to the agency, call me if you need anymore help?"
"You've done enough for today Kyoko, thank you."
"Not at all, no thanks needed when you're helping the people you love!"
She grins and dashes up the steps to change, leaving the older couple in happy silence.
...Timeskip...
Kyoko was extremely pumped, today was the first meeting for her movie with Ren, but then she realized she'd be in the same room...with...her parents. Any giddiness completely dissipated at the thought, oh whatever happened to my mommy problems and not knowing that my dad was alive? She ends up slamming her head into the nearest wall in frustration and glancing around to check if anybody seen, she repeats the process three more times. Ren heard slamming down the hall and rushed to see what was happening, but when he seen what was playing about before him the only plausible explanation he could give was: Kyoko. He walks up to her quietly and whispers in her ear seductively, "What seems to be the problem, Ky-o-ko-chan?"
"Kya!"
She jumps away from him and gets into a defensive position, but lowers her hands at Ren's laughing eyes. Glaring she mutters, "The truth seems to hate me, but so does the universe. I thought I was used to it."
He smiles, "Are you here for the movie meeting?"
"Hai, my parents are working together on this! That'll be a hoot!"
He sighs and pats her head, "Kyoko-chan?"
Blushing she replies, "Hmm?"
"Let's make a deal."
"Okay?"
"If you can make it through the movie without blowing up at your parents, I'll take you to Disney land," her eyes grow wide and sparkle like a toddler's, "But if you blow up at either of them, you have to allow me to take you to dinner, fair?"
Again she blushes, "H-hai."
They walk the rest of the way to the conference room, sharing the same grin on their faces unbeknownst to the other.
If only you knew, they think in sync. OH GOD! If only you knew.
